Public Storage - Portland - 1621 NE 71st Ave

Staff seems just a smidge on the judgy, presumptive, nosey and passive aggressive side. They took turns checking me out as I went through my car reorganizing and repacking things on an extremely hot Portland summer day. The next to last fella managed to say to me while making eye contact "Kinda a lot of stuff in the street ya think" to which I snottily sneered back that I was packing it in shortly. Now please note. It isn't a street. It's the extra wide private roadway of the storage facility and this here is moving day. We're talking about a few duffle bags, backpacks and spare tires all of which were behind the car and not blocking the path of travel for anyone else. I actually put much less in the storage unit then I had planned to. The whole purpose was to make more room in my car so I can take bigger higher paying runs with Instacart and Roadie but his comment and the way they each found their way to watch me and judge with disapproving eyes of my way of doing things and of living was enough to leave me not feeling comfortable. My purpose for renting the space is therefore not met all because of the fact that they just couldn't keep it to themselves and I likely will be moving my things out today if not the end of September. I mean c'mon man. Of course there's a lot of stuff I am the roadway area. You see I'm moving things into the unit I just rented. Given that 70% of everything I owned was lost between two storages and a van thief 3 years ago I'm nervous about storing anything and that's why I kept what was left with me in the car. You all at the PS could have just minded your business and given me a break on move-in day but you didn't. Thanks for nothing really as I have to admit the judgement and shaming eyes were about what I expected but hoped I wouldn't find welcome to Portland. Where grade school shaming never ends.

I only needed storage for a short time to store my car. The online process was easy and everyone I talked to was kind and helpful.

i like the easy access and secure entrance. sucks the bathrooms are closed but it's like that every where. keeping my stuff at Extra Space has been a good decission

This is a great place to store all the things you love. I can't tell you how much I appreciated the help your employee was for me. I'm storing things in anticipation of moving. This is my first time actually occupying a space. Every single person I spoke with made me feel like they were really rootin' for me. Everyone has needs. Companies have rules. Rules aren't meant to be broken. Rules can be bent a bit. "WIT" is a program that we teach at my company. It's designed to solve issues. "WHATEVER IT TAKES". Whoever checked me in used exactly his WIT because I only wanted that one unit. He explained the rules & that there was a method PS uses. With all due respect, I could not accept this other unit. I just could not. He very caringly accomodated my wishes. I was so overwhelmed I cried because my life had been interrupted unmercifully. He was tuned in. What a gracious employee. Keep up the Excellent work. Give your employees incentives to keep trying hard. 100.00 gift certificates. DO IT? for them. U create loyalty.

Love this place great staff, especially Brittany, no matter what kind of day I'm having seeing her beautiful smiling face seems to lift my mood. If say get more people like her but that's not possible cuz she's amazing

Avi at the front desk is so helpful and accommodated my needs in short notice! I moved here out of state with only an hour to find a storage unit and I'm so glad I found this location. I used it for a month, but it helped me out so much. There are honest people working here, which is refreshing when there are so many shadies out there trying to scam people. But you won't have to worry about that here. They'll take care of you.

Avi was a great help, with the weather icy and snow on the roads she was very understanding when I called and said I may have to move my move in time back. Than was Ok with me showing up and hour earlier than my original time. She was easy to work with.

Terrific site manager--Avi-- and clean and safe storage; prompt telephone response with information for specific units and generally was most helpful and reassuring during our move. She explained everything clearly, and assured we had what we needed to move in. My only wish was that we could have taken advantage of the unit sale going on--first month free-- as that is one reason we wanted to rent with Public Storage. Rating: 5 stars

I needed a storage place with a cheap price for one month while I moved from home to my new home. Public Storage offered me a better deal than all local competition and really actually a super cheap one month deal. Thank you so much in my time of need. Also, their staff was fun and friendly.

One of the reasons I selected your facility was flexibility for access. Having extended access hours reduced my stress makes use very convenient. The one site manager Timisha is caring and friendly. Her interest in the individual client helps reassure that you are taking an interest in the client, facility and services. I feel that my belonging will be secure.

I got a phone call first-thing the next morning after I submitted a web inquiry. Was able to make an appointment to go reserve my storage unit right away. Michelle was super helpful & professional & made sure I tested the code & could get into the unit. All & all a great experince.
