I discovered my roommate/landlady at 3:45am on July 27, 2024 when I woke up to use the restroom. I was a paramedic for 20 years & took one look at her & called 911. Long story short, she was a type 2 diabetic, insulin-dependent that hadnﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t been taking care of herself for about a week because of things I wonﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t mention. At the ER, her blood glucose was 760. She spent 23 days in ICU & miraculously survived. However, it caused some brain swelling & damage. I stayed there taking care of her house & dogs. The family had to put the house on the market. I only had a 2-week notice. So, I looked at several storage facilities & chose Extra Space. Everything was so easy to do, it made that part of my situation stress-free.
