? 1 Star – Predatory Rate Increases, Zero Added Value CubeSmart’s business model appears to be nothing more than systematic price gouging. They raise rates every six months by more than 25%, with no explanation, no added services, and no increase in benefits whatsoever. The unit stays the same. The access stays the same. The service stays the same. Only the price skyrockets. There is no justification for these increases other than exploiting customers who have already moved their belongings in and are inconveniently “locked in.” This is not inflation. This is not market adjustment. This is a deliberate, recurring cash grab. What makes it worse is the complete lack of transparency or accountability. No improvements, no upgrades, no communication—just a notice saying “pay more or leave.” That is not customer service; it’s coercion. If you value fair pricing, honesty, or basic respect as a customer, look elsewhere. CubeSmart treats long-term customers as targets, not partners. I will not be renewing and strongly advise others to think twice before doing business with a company that rewards loyalty with repeated, unjustified rate hikes.

The paperwork was made very simple. Everything was done online. They even put a Welcome bag in my storage unit. They were very friendly and my unit was clean. We had clean carts to use. I didnﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t have to really meet anyone because they give you the option to come in whenever you want to. I thought it was quite clever and convenient to have a temporary lock on Your storage unit.

We recently moved to the Phoenix area and needed to find a climate controlled storage facility to use while we find our permanent housing. I found this CubeSmart location via a websearch (SpareFoot) and completed the rental process 100% online. The electronic communication was followed up by a phone call letting me know my unit was ready and the lock was inside the unit. Very happy with the process and facility. Highly recomend if you need a strorage unit.

Needed a 5 x 10 on short notice. They are located near me and i went to evaluate. Simple enrollment process, excellent service, clean room and convenient location. Entry and exit are easy and hours are convenient.

I was told I was getting a twenty foot but they only had a ten foot space available. It worked fine but the price stayed the same. All is good

Definitely recommend the online reservation option - promotions are not offered as a walk-in. Dharon was super helpful and a true Southern gentleman.

We were looking for a facility close to home that was easy to get in and out of. We bring only a few boxes at a time so lots of trips. Ease of access and proximity were both required. This one fit the bill.

It was very easy. I'm a United States Army disabled Veteran and was able to reserve a storage unit online and was called in person the same day. The next day i was able to move in. The staff in Scottsdale Arizona we're awesome and very helpful they went above and beyond the call of Duty

I found cubesmart online near our home applied online got a call back same day and moved in the next day the staff is very friendly and knows how to treat people right i would recommend cube smart to everyone

Found this Cubesmart through a 3rd party website and was a little skeptical only because I had never stored anything in a facility before, but I was extremely impressed with the customer service I experienced from both Tricia and Tj! I initially was only going to store a few belongings there, but ended storing my car there as well. I received a phone call from Tricia shortly after booking the unit through the third party site. She was/is one of the sweetest people I've ever talked to. She was thorough in explaining everything from pricing to answering any questions I had as well as being personable, which can be hard through a phone conversation. Little did she know her upbeat attitude and ginuineness relieved the stress I was having about storing my things. Thank you Tricia! Now to Mr. Tj! All i can say is he is beyond AWESOME! As I said before I wasn't going to store my car, but circumstances changed and because Tricia was so great I decided to check to see if they stored vehicles as well. I went back the following day and Tj was there and he even remembered me from the day prior. He got me all set up, explained everything in detail, cracked some jokes and even gave me a few places to look at in my apt search. Not only that, but after we said our goodbyes I had to go back to my car, grab a few things then wait for an uber to take me to the airport. Tj offered to drive me back to my car, but I opted to walk instead. By the time I got all of my things out of the car and looked up Tj and the golf cart were there to help me as well as drive me back to the front where the uber driver was waiting! This was probably the best and one of the most memorable customer service experiences I've had! If you're looking for a safe, (double gated and video camera monitored as well as climate controlled) immaculately clean place to store your things with no worries; and beyond awesome people you can trust this is your place! Great customer service and the price was fair

Excellent customer service, friendly informative and an all over great experience. Very caring people, who are aware that you need to place your belongings in a safe, but reasonably priced facility.

Easy to work with and helpful.

Rates are misleading. Fine print is cryptic. Explanations are unclear. And I am still fighting for the reversal of the $12 insurance fee, since I have coverage on my homeowners policy. Will dispute with VISA.

The staff member that assisted me was very cheery and helpful. He moved through the paper work at a good pace, while explaining each section to me. He showed me where my unit was and he showed me how to work the security system, instead of just giving me directions and expecting me to be able to do everything.

Man who helped me was very friendly and professional.

I have stored at U-Store-It for several years now and the managers are very helpful, the property always looks nice, and now there are going to be rental trucks available too!
