The two staff who initially showed me the unit where friendly and clearly communicated about the process. When I booked online, I got a call within 10 minutes. And on move-in day, the two of them were once again friendly, opened the office just before 8am, and quickly helped me get all the paperwork done. Overall, the price was fair, unit was clean and ready, and the staff made the whole experience great!

This place is kind of janky. The lock clasps are rusty, the units have particle board walls that are bracketed together and starting to fall apart. My unit is in a separate area right next to the freeway and had a homeless camp right next to the gate. Sure, makes me uncomfortable, but at least most of the units are occupied and there is insurance required. All in all Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢ve felt less comfortable at other establishments, but I have definitely been to some facilities that are much better maintained. I chose this place because of the AAA discount available.

My roommate and I go to Cal Poly SLO and needed a place to store some of our belongings over the summer. We called sparefoot and we were helped out immediately. The person we talked to set up a reservation at Mini U storage and we were able to get our unit within 45 minutes of calling. The manager at Mini U was really nice and showed us the unit it right away and when we said we were in, he gave us the paperwork and we were done within 20 minutes. Highly recommend both of these services.

Mini U Storage in Atascadero has been outstanding in customer service and maintaining a safe, well protected, clean and efficient facility. They offer a free truck to move your stuff in so how does it get any better than that? We just moved in and used our AAA card to get the first month free. Very happy with their pricing and customer service. The manager we met was super friendly and personable, and gave us a golf cart ride to the unit to make sure it was acceptable before taking any money. All the units are drive-ups, which makes moving items in and out very easy.

Aisles are a bit too narrow, especially using a large truck. Clean but basic fiber-board storage interiors are adequate - hence the lower prices. All-in-all great value for money!

Old guy is pretty grouchy. Likes to say no a lot. But it was the cheapest I found. Truck out front read 1) free lock upon move in 2) free month rent and 3) free shelving for units avail. I did not get any of those things and when asked about them was told that was a truck from a different location and was not valid. And that I was the 3rd person to ask. Then do something about it or give me a $10 dollar lock!

Very nice facility and the staff were very helpful and even offered discounts for the unit that I rented. I would not hesitate to recommend Mini U Storage to anyone looking for a well managed facility with very nice people to work with in getting the unit ready and filled with our belongings . Additionally, we had a minor accident with the rental truck at the storage facility and they "jumped in" immediately to assist us in making contact with Penske and getting the help that we needed to resolve the problem. The staff member (John) did a super job in calming our nerves and getting Penske personnel involved in getting a tow truck out to the facility. I can't say enough about John, the assistant manager's outstanding support in resolving this minor accident issue.
