Public Storage - Pleasant Hill - 245 Hookston Road

The property isn't bad for the most part. Some maintenance issues have arise that they can always handle in a timely manner especially for the amount they charge everyone. Staff is generally cool, never any problems with them. Usually just corporate not giving them more freedom to do business with us renters and not getting things taken care of when their staff reports an issue a customer has mentioned many times

I needed to move from a smaller unit to a bigger one. Been here for a most of the year and mostly no complaints. This move from 1 building to the next was definitely not an enjoyable experience though

I would like to show my thankful to the representative who received my phone call and tell me the result of his searching in a very nice and detailed way. When I went to 245 Hookston Road, the front office lady Dominica greeted my and my husband friendly and explained everything clearly and professionally. I feel I am lucky to find the storage like this one. The price per month is reasonable. Hopefully the location will be secure.

I think that the property manager Lauren was excellent. She was informative and friendly. The grounds were clean and everything seemed secure which was what I was looking for.

Checking into my unit was simple, quick and easy. The staff is polite and professional and very helpful.

As hard as it is to find in the first place, (unless you live in the area) once found it is easy to get to. And as with all PS locations they are clean and you know what to expect.

This location is the best, I was helped by Alejandra. She's great very friendly and helpful. I came in looking for packing supplies and had no idea what to really get until Alejandra helped me out and suggested me what they had. I will definitely be coming back to this location.

Great location! Excellent customer service.. Alejandra is super friendly. Came I to purchase some packing supplies and the variety of stuff they have is amazing!! They had what I was looking for and I was so happy after having a long day at work this made my day. If you need moving supplies come to this location and ask for Alejandra she is great!!

Everybody went above and beyond the Call of Duty to help me from calling the 800 number to the on-site manager.

Alejandra and Victoria are both helpful and friendly. These are two hard working ladies. I initially got a small unit and have now upgraded. The switch was easy and fairly fast. They are both very explanatory, making everything clear prior to having customers sign the paperwork, and when I've had to call them, they are very professional and clear in their answers. I chose this location because it's close to home, but I will remain at this location because of the service and the good vibes!

I was told I had to get insurance through them for the unit because most rental insurance policies do not cover storage units, which was untrue. Also, they raised the rental price on the unit after six months, another thing I did not know....seems to be a lot of misinformation. Prefer if they were honest and upfront. Do not get insurance with them if you have rental insurance- you are most likely covered.

Paperwork was completed quickly, staff were helpful and did follow up calls to see if I needed any additional assistance. The storage facility is close to home which makes for ease of access. Good security and monitoring.

The space was as advertised. I was going to use the cart got there at 5 parked in front of the office and the lady locked the office and took off leaving me standing there. The office was supposedly open till 6

your employees have gone out of their way to accommodate me helping my son who is disabled. I showed up one time without my ID they started the paperwork they remembered who I was. The next time I was there the computer went down they were still willing to work with me and my son moving to a smaller locker. I have been to two other storage places both, people were grouchy and not willing to work with us. Place is clean. I would say employees make the business. You have a great business thank you

I have never really had any issues with Public Storage in the past when I have used them. However a few small issues came up when I began renting from their Hookston site in Concord Ca. The first issue was that they don't mention anywhere until you show up to sign the lease that you are required to pay them for insurance. So whatever you think your rent is going to be add $13-$15 to that. The next issue that came up was when I used their cart to help load my unit. You are required to leave your drivers license with them. Which I think is completely understandable. However when I finished with the cart and went to get my license back no one was in the office to return it. It wouldn't have been a big deal except that the sign on the door said they would be back at 130pm. It was 145pm when I tried to return the cart. I waited 30 min for someone to show up and give me my license back. We could hear them clearly through their break room window we tried to get thier attention, tried calling and even tried knocking on the side door which we assumed lead to thier break room all to no avail. At 215pm, 45 minutes after they said they would be back, I finally decided to lock up the cart in my unit and try to return it later. I had to have my partner drive the rented uhaul as I didn't have my license back. 3 hours later I finally got my license back from them. Normally I'm a very patient person but that day I was on a very tight schedule and had very little time to spare waiting for someone to get back to work. These units also don't have any lights or outlets to plug a light into. ( Never had a unit that didn't have a light) So if you need to go through your belongings you need to bring a flashlight.

I am very satisfied with your Pleasant Hill facility manager and the staff, their professionalism and helpful attitude. As well, I like your storage location and the set up. However, just a few days after I've started renting a car space, somebody scratched and dented a side of my van on several places and bent the side mirror again even after I straightened it. I am aware you are not liable for any damages. But perhaps you can install more security cameras and make them clearly visible, so people do not vandalize others property. The Public Storage location we are using for our client is near our office. At the facility the personnel were friendly and helpful. The cost is, in our opinion, l7.5% excessive - OVERPRICED! Pricing based on whatever the public will pay fluctuating on an hourly basis is great for Public Storage and not helpful to its clients who prefer a reasonable FIXED rental rate. Also commercial clients, like ourselves, should be given a price break to encourage their repeat business. TMC Tucker Management Co.
