Unfortunately, I have to retract my previous positive review after my experience over the past four months. To start, I was given a faulty lock that had to be drilled out, which took several days and three different employees to resolve. The attitude of the staff noticeably changed for the worse once I had rented the unit. Then, this month, they nearly doubled my rent without warning! Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢ve also called twice over the past week, requesting to speak with the corporate manager, but I still havenﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t received a call back. If I were you, Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢d go with another company.

Staff is very pleasant and professional

Total time including showing and putting a lock on my space was less than 30 mins. Ladies were knowledgeable and courteous. Great experience. Really nice facility.

I just went in, not quite sure what I wanted. Smartshop made it easy by being very demonstrative and the whole process wss quick and simple,a decent rate that I ould afford.

The staff called me on a Sunday and less than an hour later I arrived at the storage facility. Once there I was given a tour by a super friendly staff and signed up with a storage unit. This facility is about a year and a half old and the rates can't be beaten! The location is also very easy to get to. I will recommend this place to friends and family.

I found smart stop online, I was able to reserve a unit online on a Sunday and to my surprise the office was open as well, When I arrived at the storage facility I was very impressed with how clean everything is, "even the parking lot was clean" and as soon as I walked into the office I was even more impressed, the office was spotless, but more importantly what by far impressed me the most is the people behind the counter, I was only in the office for maybe 10 minutes and they made me feel like I had known them for years, very polite and friendly as well as informative, they had answered everything I needed to know without me ever asking a single question, By far the best experience you could ask for, and all on a sunday.

Staff was very knowledgeable and patient - definitely not trying to pressure me to purchase the largest unit. But I decided on it anyway. Very clean and organized. Well laid out Floorplan. Love the loading area. Easily accessible.

Only reason I didn't give it a perfect review is due to the hours of operation. It closes quite early in my opinion. Other than that it's great

I chose this facility because of the proximity to where I was going to be living and the extended hours of access I would have to my belongings. A few months after I began renting, they raised the rental fees and drastically cut the access hours, citing the homeless in the area as reason why they cut the access. “The homeless hangout by the doors and then when someone uses their code the homeless follow them in and sleep in the stairwells.” We are looking into a gate and then can put the hours back to normal.” I responded, the homeless have lived in this part of town for thirty years, the company knew that when they opened the place. Now you are cutting the hours and not compensating clients for the reduced access? “Well we are a business and if you don’t like it you can vote with your feet and go elsewhere.” Thanks for caring about your clients, for people that lost jobs and homes from Covid. Way to take advantage of people. Oh, and the other day I asked about the gate timeline so hours could return to normal, that attendant said “I don’t thing the hours will change back”. Lied to again.

The storage facility is amazing and super affordable. After making the reservation Steve called me back right away, and he made sure we were well taken care of. We got a tour of the facility and I was impressed on the cleanliness of the storage unit, overall it was an easy decision to make with the great deals they have going on right now, thank you!

The location is so convenient thereﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s two freeway exits near. Itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s never crowded and the facility is super clean including the restroom. The gentleman who helped us was super friendly and was patient with me ( I had all 4 of my kids with me). Overall Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢m am extremely pleased with my unit !

I like the storage unit and I have few concerns: The working hours: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM: I work from home from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and I can't access the unit after work because of Storage SmartStop working hours. I hope to be extended to be able to move my stuff after work. The customer service team is friendly and I went today at 9:00 AM and no one was there till 10:00 AM to help me to give me a cart to move my stuff and I had to carry all my stuff to the second floor. Storage was supposed to be 60$ with first month free once you get there they charge you almost a months worth to process paperwork then they want you to buy their lock wich turns out to be about a months worth so thats already immoral then once you get through that they informe you of rhe 10 dollar a month insurance which brings your total bill per month up 10 dollars., it was advertised online at 60$ this should be false advertising!!! Immoral business practices!!!

I dealt with Rob on the phone and Steve in person. They were both extremely pleasant and helpful. Steve was able to get things done fast and seemed to answer all of my questions before I asked. The facility its self is very clean and still looks brand new. Would definitely recommend this place to any and everyone.

The facility looks spotless and the staff are super helpful. I feel safe leaving my valuables there as the security seems really thorough.

Would recommend to anyone looking for a secure storage facility

It's a new Clean facility, the only downside imo is the multi floor, so having to move your stuff through a building is time consuming and laborious...plus having to enter your code to enter the building and every time to use the elevator gets redundant...in a single floor drive up unit, i would have been done storing my stuff in a fraction the time it took me here...property does seem secure though.

Very Clean and new, no chance for pests to come in, but their security is waaaay overboard to an annoying degree. If you are in the elevator moving for not an exaggeration more than 15 seconds it will start to beep loudly. It takes a semi-long password to get into the front door and ANOTHER password entry to gain access to the elevator, they don't have any rollup doors for backing your car into and there are very limited ramps going from street level to the curb, you can only check out 1 single very small VERY SMALL cart for hauling things. Other than that the price for my particular unit was the cheapest I found in San Diego and cleanliness and staff were superb so overall worth it for me.

From the initial chat on the phone to the office visit the staff was very helpful and friendly. The facility is extremely clean and very well maintained. Clearly the staff and management take great pride in what they do. They have numerous carts to check out to assist you in moving in. The rates are very reasonable and I have no problem recommending this facility to a friend.

This place is not good. The customer service is okay but very slow. Bathrooms were out of supplies too many homeless people always using them. I paid movers to move me there and I planed to go out of town. I don't have the money to pay to move again or the time, I wish I could. I am sending a formal complaint to the regional office. With Covid 19 on the increase and everyone having to use the key pad on elevators and to enter. It is totally not sanitized. I don't feel safe. Not everyone is using face mask. People were eating in there unit and I let the staff know who went to speak to them. People are smoking right by the in and out doors to get in to the storage. Or sitting in there cars all together outside for hours at a time. There was also a person pushing a broom around all the units when my was open for me to get in. I asked him do you work here ? He said no he was just helping out. What is that? He is not staff and has no employment record with your company and he just going around the place sweeping. Total unacceptable. I spoke to the general manager today and told him how unhappy I was. I feel stuck there. I'm going to increase the insurance to as high as possible until I can figure out how I can move my stuff as soon as I am back home.. Extremely unhappy with this location.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. There are hand trolleys available for use for free. It got very busy On Saturday afternoon, so all the trolleys were being used and there was a wait. But overall not too bad. Probably best to bring your own trolley to make it easier.

I couldn't believe how clean and sanitary it was in this pandemic.

The day I was moving in, the elevators were broken and the stairs were and I'm on the 3rd floor. I had to pay an extra day for a truck rental and hire new helpers to 7 unload the truck. Management weren't answering phones to find out when the elevator would be fixed. I went the next day and the elevator stopped working again.😔

I reserved my storage and went in for paper work just a few days ago. The facility is very nice and new. They have security cameras and give you a personal PIN number to enter. So it feels very safe. The staff was very friendly and helpful! I I got a good size storage for an affordable price and am happy with my purchase.

very clean, pretty new, they have elevators since its 5 floors, you can borrow a cart from them for boxes during office hours... 9 am-6 pm. But you can access the building from 6 am- 10 pm.

My friend Joy Conley referred me to your facility afew weeks ago only I forgot to mention that information when I came and rented a unit from there.Then when I moved some stuff into my unit I ran into her there and she had asked me if I mentioned her name at the time I signed up to rent my unit so she could get a $50 referral reward towards her next months rent.So will you please acknowledge this information and give her the referral fee towards her next months rental fee on her unit?
