About Citizens Storage
Citizens Self Storage is a locally owned and operated facility. We offer many self storage services with secure individual units and RV, boat, and vehicle parking spaces. Our facility is very secure with digit video surveillance, electronic gate entry, and individually secured units. All of our units are drive up accessible 7 days a week during gate hours. Please note that we are generally closed 12PM-1PM everyday for lunch. Appointments can be made with the facility manager by calling Citizens Storage.

I came across this facility online when I was actually looking for a different facility. I read what this facility had to offer, and stopped looking for the other one. When I was signing up and doing the paperwork, there was a snag. Andrew phoned his higher-ups to see how it could be solved. It was solved and I got my unit. It was clean and spacious. And the manager was very helpful and friendly.

I tried to move into this facility and the spot was to small because there was a container in the spot assigned to me, I had to give a $50 deposit to hold and charged $140 on move in. When I arrived to move in the young man at the desk moved me in and asked me to measure the trailer. He could not measure the trailer because I did not have it with me. I returned the next day to park it and the trailer disturbed the pivot point and a small car next to it wouldn't allow me in because I would hit it. When I called to explain the situation Christina was very rude and told me that I would only get $123 dollars back because her husband was a truck driver and didn't know how to drive it was my fault I couldn't get it in. She also explained to me that that $140 and $50 equal $123 And I was trying to get an extra $50 out of the deal (absurd) I just wanted the original amount back.

Clean, secure, affordable, friendly. Only good things to say with one exception, the folks in the middle isle block egress virtually every morning we need to access our unit. Multiple vehicles, multiple people and stacks of boxes outside of their unit. These folks should operate out of a warehouse not a storage unit. If management is going to allow this, I, then wish to save thousands operating my business out of storage units regardless of the inconvenience to other paying tenants too.

I've had things stored at this location long enough to have known at least 4 different managers and all have been very friendly. When I repeatedly had problems with the latch sticking, they called in a handyman to fix it that same day. Sometimes I wish it was a bit brighter at night, especially when I need to get something from the unit and I'm the only one on the premises... but I've learned to take a flashlight with me. And while I appreciate that rent increases were recently postponed, I would hope and suggest that we get ample warning before the next rent hike. Many of us have lost work and/or clients with the pandemic and need enough lead time to re-budget before costs go up. The last thing I want to do is move to another facility. I would miss the familiar faces at Citizens.

Facility is tight for RV parking but most are. Pricing seem pretty good and better than what I was quoted. It's even cheaper than my storage in Newbury Park.

I appreciated the price but wouldﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢ve preferred a description of the unit prior to arriving. The smaller units are stacked and required a ladder for me to store everything. So not convenient. I was dealing with time constraints so had to go with it, but I will be moving everything soon to another facility with a roll door.

Even though the prices are higher than they used to be when I first started using the company, I believe they are the lowest in town. The outdoor access makes it easy to store goods. If you do not care if your things get dusty, this is the place for you. Sometimes there have been termites and other vermin, but the establishment has done tenting, and cleaning and has tried to keep the place up. There is no trash to throw away things when you move out. T here is a gate to keep your things safe. A wide variety of sizes of units can meet your needs.There are lights in many units. Parking places for RVs complete the offerings. Office hours are satisfactory, and even if a staff member is not there, someone will answer the phone. if you are going to store valuables, store them in a bank vault. Nothing has ever been stolen from this storage that I know of, but I would not recommend using it for sensitive or very valuable items.

Everything worked perfectly. I received my confirmation call and scheduled a time to come in. Met with Ron and everything went as promised. The only negative is that they do not insure your property....you have to have your own insurance. They have security cameras and security gates so I went ahead with the reservation. I'm sure everything with be fine.
