Public Storage - San Francisco - 2587 Marin Street

Cheyenne was the person I worked with at Public Storage. She was fantastic. Made the whole process incredibly easy.

Basic storage unit facility that's under lock and key.

This place is easy enough to use and store your goods. The ONLY issue encountered is if you have a big moving truck and a trailer attached to it; itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s difficult to get out and take some work so I would not bring it inside the lot itself. Also, the lot is shared by a news station so you run the risk of having to move your car or truck in a hurry if youﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢re blocking them

Both managers I have met, Karen and Esther, were very friendly and efficient. They took time to explain things to me and helped wherever they could. Thank you ladies for a great welcome to my first-ever storage. The on-boarding was simple and fast, the facility seems secure, and the storage space is dry and safe.

Esther was unbelievably helpful. The unit I reserved was too small and she quickly and efficiently processed an upgrade. She was friendly, helpful and professional.

My actual move-in was greatly facilitated by the on-duty rep, a woman named Esther. She was polite, intelligent, patient, clear, and walked me through every part of the process of moving in. Moreover, I found it VERY helpful that she first showed me how to do everything I'd need to do on my own if she weren't there: input my access code, download your app, find a cart to move multiple boxes, use the elevator, open and close the unit door, correctly lock in shut, and so forth. Then she had me do what she'd showed me to do. I've never had better instruction in navigating a new place that I would be periodically visiting. On a score of 1 to 5, I'd give Esther a 10!

The move in was quick and easy - I had a code to get into the parking lot / elevator, then my lock was sitting inside my storage unit. Had no issues getting in, and was able to easily get storage cart to move things from my car to the unit.

When I wanted to preview and set account Johnny was very helpful and explained succinctly the procedures. When moving in on a time crunch Eric was very helpful and explained to my movers,helped with code entering for the first time,took the forgotten lock to them. Both young men, very polite, and very accommodating. Thank you.

Very quick, efficient, and amazing price range

So far so good. All is well and I am using the storage for what it's worth. I plan on being there for a few months. I have to keep stuff on stand by.

Great Experience! I needed a ground-floor, accessible space "right now" when I arrived back in town from 3-weeks vacation last week. The folks at Public Storage on Marin Street couldn't have been more helpful, quickly finding a unit and getting me signed up. Already having another unit with Public Storage may have helped with that process, but all I know is that I was able to unload everything that needed to go into the unit in about an hour, which was record time! Facility is squeaky clean and super-easy to get in and out of. Highest recommendation!

Cheyenne gave the best service when I arrived at my reservation. She always kept a smile , answer all my questions. I will never forget the remarkable experience I had with her on Saturday. I will definitely recommend to my friends and family .

It was really easy to sign up, choose a unit, set up a time to move in, and actually move. The staff at this location are really friendly and helpful! When I arrived, they worked with me to find the best unit. In the end, I went with the one I originally chose, but it was awesome that they tried to help me save money. I also got confirmation/reminder calls, which was helpful. The facility itself is well managed. There's plenty of equipment and parking. Made the process much less stressful.

This facility, in particular, is run by a true professional, Anna - really enjoyed working with her. Update to my original review: Be aware that homeless people have code access to this facility. I've personally seen the same man enter the facility several times at 6 am and occupy the restroom for a considerable amount of time, so it would stand to reason that a facility with dozens of security cameras would be able to pick up on this pattern and somehow prevent it... yet they haven't (it also makes sense why the first unit on the first floor has a damaged locking mechanism. My advice would be to find a facility in a better neighborhood (I'd do that, but it's too much of a hassle to move an apartment's worth of items before ultimately moving to Oregon in 2 months).

What made this 5 stars was the customer service. Jenyfer (spelling?) was incredibly helpful all day, despite being extremely busy with many other customers. She managed the work load well and always went the extra mile to make a stressful move go smoothly for me. The move-in appointment was also on time, which is surprising given the number of walk-in customers. The prices here were a bit cheaper than other locations. Yes, it's a little old and outdated but you're not living there :) It seemed like a secure location and she gave me tips to make it more secure.

I had a great experience with this Public Storage because of one person. Ana, who worked there the entire year I rented a unit, was seriously one of the most amazing customer service people I've ever worked with. It's not often that someone just makes everything easier no matter what, but she does. My experience was always better because of her. Thank you Ana for all of your help, great advice, saving me money and just being such a great person in general. I hope all good things come back to you!

Manager Ana is professional, helpful and always available. I think she must work 24/7. Facility is clean, well lighted and safe. I have a large unit and take stuff in and out all the time. Convenient location. Thanks Ana! You're great.

The staff is friendly, helpful, and courteous. Hours to access the storage units are plentiful. However, at the time of my rental commencement the security fence was not working properly, almost all night lighting was unacceptably inoperable, carts were sparsely found (was told most of them were stolen, and management was not sure when replacements will come while leaving me to use 1 of 2), elevators are small compared to other storage facilities (it's not a freight elevator), only 2 parking spaces are allocated for loading while others are apparently rented (this created an awkward situation when 3 parties needed space), one of the primary entrances has a large lip making carts difficult to utilize, etc. District or area management seems lackadaisical to the facility's dire safety needs.

I have had no problems. A great place to do business with.

The facility is very clean and safe. The only thing I could suggest is that it is better to install a sensor light because sometimes when you are working with sorting and re-arranging your things the hall light goes off and you have to feel around the dark. I get confused with the switches which switch lights up which hall.
