Mini U Storage - Goldenwest

I needed to rent a unit for my daughter, who was moving out of her college apartment. Found Mini-U-Storage thru a Google search, and they were by far the most inexpensive. But for me, of equal importance was that the unit was on the ground floor: Just drive up the truck and unload. No lifts, no corridors, no extra walking. Being partially disabled this made a huge difference. The unit was very clean, as was the entire storage facility as a whole. I am horrible with names, so forgive me, but that woman that runs the operation, along with her son, were extremely personable, answering any questions I had, showing my daughter and I the unit before we rented, and helping us with any last minute miscellaneous supplies. And, probably the best part, they supply a truck to move in for FREE. All you have to do is leave a deposit (which you get back), and pay for your gas, but not having to pay for the rental, as well as going to a truck rental facility, was a definite bonus. All in all, I highly recommend this facility.

The customer service is very good, and very helpful.

Staff was beyond helpful and made sure we were happy with the unit before we rented. Actually took me on a golf cart to show me. Then went back and swept it out and knocked down a couple cob webs that weee there.

In my opinion it is pretty good

I have had probably 15 storages in my lifetime and have some bad experiences in the past that I swore I would NEVER get one ever again and swore them off forever after losing all my belongings! But recently I had to get a unit! I needed the space for my extra stuff so I caved! Ahhh! ? but I am super happy With my decision. I’ve been here a couple months. They’re great. Never had any problems. Except they close so Early for me! :( but I feel safe here and I don’t have to worry about break ins or sketchy people (like their other facility in Santa Ana!) As long as you leave by closing and punch in ur code in & out, they don’t bother you and I believe all units are drive ups!! The staff is super nice and have always been Helpful! The guy who was inn office when I moved in got me shelving and everything that same day!! immediately! I really appreciated that. And they’re never rude!. Management lives on site which is cool. They r Always kind and I’m really happy with my location choice. Just wish prices were aittttle lower and hours longer. But it’s okay. You can’t always get everything you want but I got most of it here. Thx you guys!

Place is run by the nicest people most helpful people. They stayed open late and waited for me. I had to rush to the airport. Very very clean friendly place. I would highly recommend them to Anyone. Thank you guys

I was so grateful to have stumbled across this facility 3 years ago. Being a first time renter, I knew nothing. They walked me through every step of the way figuring the size of storage, the insurance, free truck rental, automatic payments, ways to save money. They are fantastic! Three years later, when it was time to move out, I received the exact same excellent customer service once again. Free truck rental, keys drop off after hours, It was a piece of cake. Now 10 months later, I find myself needing storage again, I jumped on the computer, made my reservation and start date. It was that easy. I look forward to returning to Minu U storage, Goldenwest

My first time renting a storage unit, so happy I found one close by and a great price for the time I need it.

Best storage I have ever rented. All units are on ground level with drive up and load or unload at your unit door. No elevators, stairs or tight corners to hassle with. The price was the best around with first mo free and $20 Amazon card using AAA discount. The staff was two of the nicest most helpful people Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Location is also perfect. I will use this storage any time I need a place to put a few extra things.

Staff at this facility is top notch in customer service. Very polite, professional, and accommodating, needed their truck for another more than the 24 hours given and they didn't give me any trouble at all. Just wish they locked the gate a little later at night.

We rented a spot for our boat and the on-site management team was very kind & professional. We were happy with the fact that they allowed us to pick out spot from a few available spots rather than just assigning us somewhere. It looks like this is a nice secure spot & that they are proactive on security.

I needed to move my stored boxes and things to a new place, as the unit I shared with a friend was being closed out. Mini U Storage great! All the units have drive-up convenience; no narrow hallways with heavy carts to pull, no weird elevators and creepy lights going on and off! The office staff was very professional and helpful. I was able to use the moving van for free (4 hours) in order to move in. I highly suggest using this facility!

Overall, best pick for my storage needs with features like single story- 1 floor storage structures with driveup access versus in-door, multi-floor , 3 story buildings. I simply drive right up to my storage food- no waiting on elevators, storage carts and tight indoor spaces tp negotiate Facility site is spacious, nice layout with bottleneck-free vehicle acess by way of 2 lane, paved driveways in between each of storage structures. This beats. the 5 or 6 grounr parking spaces for an entire indoor storage buildibg if available at all. Lastly, the location I have has low daily yard visits so no congestion on yard And the city surroundibg area is a quiet neigjborhood conveniently. located adjacent to reeway access and bordering neighbors with CHP station. Made a reservation through "SpareFoot' which got me a 50% discount on the first month and free (almost) use of their moving truck. Registration/sign-up was quick and efficient. Location is convenient to the GG Freeway and the grounds are clean and well-kept. Unit was clean and a bit larger than advertised-so that was a plus.

We were really pleased with the amount we paid for a 10x10 unit. Itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s even drive up access. Security looked perfect. Half the price of other offerings out there. We urgently needed some long term storage as we had to leave the country. The customer service was great with really nice people working there.

The woman for Sparefoot was very helpful and really sought a facility to meet what I was looking for. I checked out 2 other places but the price and security of this storage facility helped me make the decision to move my travel trailer to Mini UStorage, even though it is not as close to home as the other 2 facilities

My husband and i went to rent a unit and because my his id was a temporary she refused to rent to me when my id was fine. Stated that he would not be able to enter her location. she proceed to say she would not rent to me .

The price per month for just parking a car in an open space seems too expensive for what it is.

I only had one issue with the storage. I reserved on this site for $69. and when I got there I was signing the paperwork and it said $84. month. I told the attendant and she said she could not change it in her computer but she would contact someone and see if they could get it don e for me. so the amount would of been the $84 a month if I wouldn't of caught it. she also didn't ask for my triple a so I had to pay the half of the storage and admin fees. totaling $67. when I was expecting to pay $25. for the admin fees.

Needed a storage fast and close to my house with drive up access. Drove down to check out the units everything very clean, very orginized,. Wanted a unit around 8x20 for Sat movein they checked had a unit already cleaned and ready for the next day. Check their truck rental also you can't beat their prices and discounts great place to rent from, all units are drive up accessible no second or third floor love it.

overall I've had a good experience with Mini U Storage. My only complaint is that they raised my rent about ten bucks six months after I started. Sometimes I pay in cash, drop it in the slot after hours and leave. I'm always shown as paid in full, nice to see that they are an honest staff

A would use sparefoot again and this same facility.

I had to sweep the unit myself as there was a lot of dirt on the floor. The unit was sold as 5x10, but looks more like 4x11or even 3.5x11 (very narrow). It's convenient that it's a drive up unit. Bring your own lock or buy theirs for $13.

This facility is clean, friendly and is next door to the Highway Patrol station, I don't think they have a problem with theft!

Great people but the place is a little run down. Rows are narrow, two cars can't fit.

Surprisingly easy transaction. I love the no contract part. And the prices are great. The people running the facility are also very efficient and great to do business with.

A MAJOR Selling Point of this facility was to be the use of their truck for 4 hours FREE. I signed the agreement and began moving my belongings into the storage unit but when I attempted to reserve the truck I was informed that it was booked solid every day for the next 3 weeks!! Not only did I NOT have use of the "free truck" this cost me over $100 out of my pocket. I was and am still upset about that.

I got there late and the attendant was getting ready to close and said the computers were shut down and I'd have to come back in the morning. When I told him I'll be quick, he came out to see how much I had and when he saw I had a rented truck, he went back, turned on the computers and signed me in. That was truly, for a minor event in my life, the best time I've ever had in anyone's rental or sales office. Kristy was so accommodating and welcoming, gracious and good-humored, that I couldn't believe what was happening. Then her husband showed up and it was good to be in their presence, the two of them, an obviously loving couple whose good energy transmits to whoever comes in the door. They even tried to find me a place closer to my home, which I assume would not have been in their best personal interests fi they'd succeeded. I couldn't have been more pleased. They couldn't have been nicer.
