Public Storage - Lakewood - 305 S Union Blvd

It was extremely crowded on the day we moved in. There was literally nowhere to park our U-Haul without being in somebody's way. We pulled to the side of the entrance to our unit and tried to make enough space for the rest of the people who were coming and going. We were unloading for at least an hour (and getting along quite nicely with the other people coming and going) when a lady came up to us and told us we would have to move. We had no idea who she was, and she didn't introduce herself and was pretty unpleasant. I told her we had been getting along with everyone else and that there was plenty of space for people to come and go. She then told us she worked there and we had to move, which we immediately did. She had no name tag, and we still don't know who she was. It was a very unpleasant customer service experience.

The location and climates controlled environment is perfect for things will store in my rented unit. I was surprised that entry doors into the actual hallways to get to my unit were smaller than I expected. Had a hard time getting a couch angles through the door. Overall, pricing is great, friendly staff and facility is clean.

Fast convenient nice, showed me property. Only drawback is a door jarred opened that needs to be fixed and need more carts

The app is what makes public storage. Once you sign up it offers everything you need. Access w/o getting out to enter the key. Easy payments and account stuff.

Everything was wonderful and all needs met

On my move-in day, I had a full car load and upon arrival to the facility the elevator was broken, my unit was on the third floor, and there were no carts on-site to use. I had to haul my items up to the third floor, some of which were too heavy I couldn't, so I had to keep them in my car for now. When I spoke to customer service, all they have offered me was a credit for the days the elevator was down, which was $2.64. There should be carts on-site, how are people supposed to move their things into their units? It was not a good move-in experience.

I had a super easy registration and tour. Kendall (sp?) Was awesome. Great customer service and really knowledgeable! He showed me around and gave great suggestions. I barely had to do anything and it went smooth. Due to this, I would recommend your location to friends and family.

Was a great size and place to store our daughtersﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢ things as she transitions into her own apartment.

Ok so I don't know the lady's name up front. She was a little older then the other one. My entire experience was great! The lady was very nice very knowledgeable and very happy to help! It was as smooth as you would like anything to go. Glad we chose public storage and this location. Top notch Thank you

I was in Denver to pick up a car I bought from auction and the car ended up not running well enough to drive home. I was frantically trying to figure out how to rent a trailer or find somewhere to park the car for a week or two. A Google search led me to Public Storage. It was 5 PM when I booked my reservation, 540 when I arrived at public storage, just 20 minutes before they closed. I had fully expected staff to be at least a little annoyed with me arriving so close to closing time but I was so pleasantly surprised by how friendly and kind and helpful Billie and Shelly were. They got me in the system quickly, walked me to the parking spot and joked and laughed with me. The whole experience was so pleasant and extremely affordable, and I feel like my car is perfectly safe there. I canﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t say enough good about my experience with public storage. They deserve all the stars!

My only complaint was the amount of walking I had to do from the office to the building where the unit was located. Otherwise, I felt the entire experience was very good.

I dont understand why I had to pay so much to move in my storage unit which was on the 27th and then I had to turn around again and pay another $20

Carmen is awesome! Everything was just as stated in my reservation. She showed me the unit and gave good directions for easy getting there by car. She also provided some helpful advise on packing and storing. We will be using the unit at least 18 months so it was valuable advice. My experience was great!

Great service, but the carts are locked.

Carmen was very helpful and friendly. I wasn't sure how big a storage room I should get, she picked out the perfect size of room. The facility is well maintained and easy to access.

Very helpful . I was told I could get keys made elsewhere. So far no luck.

Unable to access my spot when needed due to improperly parked vehicles blocking my ability to maneuver. Additionally, my fiancé was able to move around unchallenged, after being asked if she had a rental by an employee and stated she did not. The access hours are also not adequate, they need to be extended or preferably 24/7.

Like the facility and the personnel in the office. It is clean and secure.

Everyone has been very helpful and extremely nice every time we come in. I can not thank Carmen and her staff enough. We had several variables in our plans over the last 2 months and Public Storage was always s there to help with whatever problem came our way. The facility is clean and secure so you don't have to worry about your belongings.

Great location and the facilities are very clean. It would be nice if they supplied better dollies to transport stuff to the locker location.

Front office staff is wonderful!! I set up an online reservation for what I thought was a 10x20 storage unit when in fact I reserved a parking space in that size. Carmen called me within minutes to confirm my reservation and once we discovered I requested the wrong unit she corrected it for me quickly, explained the different specials that were running on storage units and helped me choose the right size for our needs. Carmen continued her excellent customer service when we came in the next morning to see our unit and complete our reservation. I couldn't ask for a better way to start a business relationship with a company. I will definitely recommend Public Storage to anyone who has storage needs.

Door on building broken for weeks, gate jams sometimes, I oiled it to help. good location, good prices, good facilities

The staff here is fantastic!! I had been referred back and forth to multiple PS locations and each one I arrived at did not meet the requirements I had asked for. Finally, I met with Katie at the South Union location and she exceeded expectations for customer support. She let me vent and got me into a unit that fit ALL of my specifications within a few minutes (and she had a smile the whole time). Thanks again, Katie!

Carmen always is helpful and takes care of my questions patiently and professionally. Occasionally my code gets funky and she quickly fixes whatever the system did to it and all is good. I have been storing here for over 8 years and never had a problem. Carmen is just the best and has her employees treating me with the same dignity she does.

I checked in yesterday for our 10x10 unit. I had a 5:00 pm appointment, but was about 20 minutes late due to traffic. Katie, who helped check me in, did an incredible job being professional, kind, and funny. She took the time to physically walk with me to the unit, show me around, explain different products we could purchase for our move, and made it all so easy. I was able to enter the unit early this morning to move in more items - the gate code made me feel safe being in the area by myself. Thank you for a great first storage experience, and thank you Katie, for making check-in such a breeze!

Everyone here is so friendly and helpful!!! I had never gotten a storage unit before and they made the process unbelievably quick and painless!!! I would recommend using this location to anybody! A special shout-out to Billie for being so sweet and helpful during my initial setup! And another shout-out to Makayla for making my transfer to a smaller unit so easy!

Without asking, the property manager offered suggestions for making the unit more cost effective, and provided tips to help protect my things, as well as tips to make the move much easier. For the unit, they were the cheapest around. Plus, the whole property seemed clean, safe, and well-maintained.

People remember who you are and give their professional opinions

There was plenty of spaces, the receptionist was very nice and worked very hard to get me what I needed. She did. But I have to say that U-Haul storage is very expensive. The only reason I picked U-Haul is because it was close to my house. Please drop your prices so I can stay longer. Right now I feel pressured to get my stuff out.

All personnel was polite and courteous and explained the public storage process thoroughly.

The staff at the storage facility in Lakewood, Colorado, was friendly and helpful (especially Lu!), and the leasing and move-in process quick and easy. The facility itself is relatively new and well-lighted, is surrounded by a daunting fence, and feels safe and secure. I have no second thoughts about spending the money to rent the unit.

It is frustrating that I have to get out of my vehicle to enter the pass code on the gate and that I cannot get access to carts after 6 p.m. Otherwise, service was great.

At first, when renting unit, everything looked like it should. As I began moving in storables, there frequently was no available wheeled transport from vehicle to unit. I was told that some renters gave id card to get key to carts and never returned the key. There were plenty of carts, but no keys to unlock them. I volunteered to snip the locks and let them start over with keys, and was told "Absolutely not; >>??<

I have been using storage facilities for many years. Having lived in 5 different states, a storage unit was always a must. One was very little but cost more than a larger one did. Another place always had the feel of being "not clean", but it served its purpose. Yet on another occasion, I had the right size at the right price, but the unit leaked water every time it rained and they never seemed to get the problem fixed! I used that place the shortest amount of time. I used a very well known storage place in Texas, for an unbelievable 14 years. Someone had gone in with bolt cutters, removed my lock, stole several items, then put another lock in place. After 8 years of not visiting that unit, it was finally time to get my things out. It was a nightmare trying to open the lock; called a locksmith, paid heavily for the service, and found that several things had been taken without my knowledge. Now in Colorado to stay, I very happily use Public Storage. Staff is awesome and helpful. Very friendly! The units are amazingly clean, as is the rest of the facility. By far the best place ever, to keep your belongings for short or long term! I am a very happy and satisfied customer with Public Storage!!
