Public Storage - Fairfield - 1296 Kings Highway Cutoff

I've been a customer since 2019 and I have paid over $10K in rent and insurance. My 10 by 20 unit cost me close to $500 a month by the time I moved out this April. When I went to empty my unit, I found many of my items covered in vermin droppings and urine and even a dead mouse body for good measure. I filed a claim only to be told the insurance policy does not cover vermin, but they were willing to pay up to $250 to "cover" what I lost...oh and I am responsible for disposing the vermin infested items that were a direct result of their lack of pest control. I really wish they told me that there is zero pest control before I signed up. I'm not sure if this is how all Public Storage properties operate but STAY AWAY from the public storage in Fairfield CT unless you want to pay a lot of money to have your materials damaged as was my experience.

My things got stuck in the elevator and your stuff put it in the bin once the elevator was able to be operational again they stacked it nice and neat he was amazing

Move in was very easy once i found the unit. There were carts you could use to load your items onto to transport them from the driveway to your unit.

We rented a space in Public Storage in Fairfield Connecticut very recently It is clean and reasonable priced and appears secure The attendunt made sure to explain everything there is to know and was very polite and detail oriented The facility is not climate controlled but its suitable for us

I had a wonderful experience at public storage this week! I was helped by Analia. She could not have been nicer or more helpful. She walked me to the unit so that I could see it, and was very thorough in explaining the process of renting a storage unit. She told me about a promotion that was going on so I saved money as well. I will recommend this place to everyone!

You advertise $1 first month. Of course it was not available for the unit size I wanted to rent. I know of other individuals that had the small problem. Also the Fairfield location is not the cleanest. I realize it is hard to keep all the floors and walls in the overall building clean. Your TV ads show clean floors and walls with bright lights and very bright orange doors for each unit. Not the case when you go to the Fairfield location. Maybe your company should inspect your various locations more frequently. Thank you for listening.

I have to honestly say when I walked into public storage I was really down and the gentleman that took care of my, I wish to God I remembered his name, was so caring and thoughtful, even took the time out of his busy day to talk me through what I was going thru! U have an Angel working there!

I reserved my space online and upon arrival was shown a space better than expected. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only glitch was that they said I had to sign up for their insurance. If I confirmed that I had coverage elsewhere then I could call them back and decline it for a full refund. Within one week I confirmed that I was insured via my homeowner's policy. Then they told me that I had to go into a local Public Storage location, as I rented out of town, fill out the form noting DECLINE and fax it to them. When I called to confirm that they had received the fax I was told that I would be receiving a pro-rated check (when I paid with a CC) sometime in the mail. This doesn't sound like a full refund to me. Upon further investigation, I have been told that the insurance is OPTIONAL and not a Public Storage requirement at all. So now, when I thought I had a good experience, they have totally pissed me off!
