Public Storage - Fort Myers - 2235 Colonial Blvd

Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢m from another state, the storage unit I booked claimed they had climate control units but when I got there it was the most ghetto storage facility I had ever been to. Public storage at 5:30pm got me right in set up and at a better price for climate control storage. They saved the day for me and I am very thankful.

Carmen is the manager and she's very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The only problem is there open until 9:00 p.m. which is after dark and there is absolutely no light . Bad enough , there's no light in storage unit ,also no outside lights. It was literally pitch dark in and outside my storage. Very inconvenient, dangerous, especially for people that are alone. I've used storage facilities for 40 plus years and never experienced this and I know public storage is a reputable company. Very disappointed. I had to run an extension cord ( half a football field distance away ) and tap into a building for electricity to move my property into my 10 X 20 storage unit so I could safely unload my budget truck. Again, very disappointed in public storage. Very unsafe . At least, Carmen the manager was awesome. Whom I met during the day ,before nightfall. Of course, Carmen wouldn't of been able to do anything. I do not blame her . This is also , my first time to rent from Public Storage , in over 40 years of continuously renting storage units for my property. I was honestly, put off by their pricing. Received great service! Facilities are safe, clean and staff is very helpful!

While I got a great rate for storage through Sparefoot.com, the facility charges high rates usually for what I consider to be decent accommodations. The main office is very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The facility is quite large however many lights are not working so it is very difficult to see in some areas. The main access doors do not have ramps and carts are few and far between. There is a foul smell coming from one of the units and this poses concerns regarding rats as the smell is likely rotting food. You are required to carry insurance on your unit however this is not divulged until check in. I would never consider renting space in this facility at their regular prices considering the conditions, however the rate I am paying makes it tolerable at least for the time being.

The young man who helped me, Bobby, was very nice, professional and thorough. Your facility is very clean.

Upon arrival, I noticed how clean the entire property was. Office clean and the storage unit was clean as well. Easy to get set-up Fast set-up Clean facility Staff very knowledgeable on costs, etc.

I have been a customer since 2013 , I can honestly say since Public Storage took over I am getting much better service. The manager Diana is very understanding, works with me with my acct. Public Storage really demonstrated the respect they have for customer by waiving fees and being flexible with us during these difficult times. Great service great company.

We went for a unit and Diana took care of us. She was quick and friendly very personable. The unit was just what we needed. Very happy with our experience.

Great customer service from Diana. Even though she was clearly busy with another task, when she saw us, she stopped what she was doing to show us around . Not only was she friendly, she was also very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions thoroughly. We only stopped in for rates and thanks to her, we left with keys to our storage unit ! I am very pleased with the service we received . If I could change anything about our visit, it would be Diana's football team. But it could be worse, she could be a Dallas fan!!! Great customer service

Hailey was an awesome salesperson today! We were looking other places actually and decided to stop in but she changed our minds. We hope this gets the attention of her superiors as she is deserving of a good mention here. It's rare to find such a conscientious young person!

I've used Public Storage quite a bit in the past and 99% of the time they've had good prices and great customer service. I'd recommend them to anyone.
