About Atlantic Self Storage - San Jose / 295
A 29.00 one-time Administration Fee is required for all new rentals. Atlantic Self Storage does not offer refunds on rentals, retail purchases, or reservations. Advertised storage unit sizes are approximate and are intended for comparison only. Pricing reflects one months storage rent only. Unit sizes, prices and discounts are based on availability, and subject to change without notice. Online prices and specials are exclusive to new customers, select units, and initial advertised rental period. Free Autopay is highly recommended. Reservations/online rentals must be begun through the Atlantic Self Storage website; however, proof of identification and rental agreement signature must be completed in office, during office hours before property/unit access is granted. Insurance coverage over stored belongings is required and available for purchase onsite but not included in advertised prices. A monthly Smart Storage Services Fee of 4.95 is required and applied to all subsequent months for every rental. Additional requirements, restrictions and fees may apply. Facility days and hours of operation vary by location. NOTE: Online Sunday rentals will not gain property/unit access until 9:30 Monday (at minimum).

I wanted a unit to store some furniture and personal items for a short period of time. I found this facility on the Internet through the spare foot listing. The advertisement stated there was a deal for one month free with one month paid rental upfront. So, two months rental for one month price. Also, spare front was offering some other potential reimbursement. I was interested, and spare foot quickly helped me place a general reservation. I then went to the facility to complete the rental process. After having to wait a few minutes, I was professionally assisted by Edwin. The unit was clean and should be perfect for my needs. I moved in that day.

So far, so good. The reps were incredibly friendly when it came time to check in, though I have noticed a consistent problem with storage seems to be getting someone at the actual location on the phone regardless of where you go. Once I was there though, smooth sailing. I feel comfortable knowing there is a caring team understanding of unique situations at this facility.

Everything is top notch as far as renting, paperwork and everything one might need to make the process easier. My only recommendation for a way to make things easier for future tenants? My unit is located on the 3rd floor all the way in the back. 4th is would be a great place for someone who needed a unit for long-term storage or not alot of stuff to move in and out ? (3 bedroom house etc). Maybe you could ask the renter in the beginning what there plans are ND qualify them for a top floor or bottom floor based on there answers? I literally will make every bit of 40 up and down trips from truck to unit as well as having to lock up everything each time I go up or down because of how long each trip will take! This will make my move alot harder and longer than need to be!

Although the onsite manager is wonderful, the temperature in what is supposed to be climate controlled is far below expectations both in summer and winter which I believe is based solely on profit motives. Lighting in the units is also some of the worst of any storage units I have rented though out the country. The facility is very clean, and the manager, Eddie is outstanding but I cant recommend the unit based on lighting and lack of adequate climate control.

There were quite a few offers. None of them were suggested by the management. For example, after renting I saw flyers in the building advertising "Free first month!" and free rental of the truck that the facility rents. I asked about them the next day and was told, "Yes those are absolve but you have to ask about them " That was the only sour note.
