Public Storage - Chicago - 5733 North Broadway St

For the price this facility is just “OK.” It smells funky, and some people are actually living in their units…. It’s also smelling old and like mildew in certain areas…and the lock that was given to me does not work properly and there is no attendant or human help at this location. Just a kiosk. Also, the elevator is janky and leaking a yellow substance from the ceiling - like a puddle on the floor in elevator….

Downtown storage options tend to be either out of the way or super-expensive but this facility is great on both counts.

Emmanuel was super helpful and friendly. He made it an easy process.

The service was great. The only hassle was the freight elevators. It frequently wouldn't close and the size of it is much too small for this to be in a storage facility where large times will frequently be taken in and out. Seems like a strange oversight.

Absolutely recommended. Public storage was able to work with my needs for storage size, booking dates, and price. In addition, the customer service when I checked in was fantastic.

It a good & safe place ..While in transition to getting a new living space

I had a speedy check in when I first signed up with the property manager. She was very friendly and answered every question I had. The only thing is I wish the hours were later. 6:00 is so early to have to be there by.

Only problem is that you are charged for an entire month even though the space is empty mid-month. A lot of money to pay if you're not out by the 10th of the month. Personally, I think it should be prorated.
