Don did a phenomenal job assisting me, showing me the facility and explaining how everything worked. He even gave me a month free when the unit I picked was actually not available bc there was a glitch in the system. I never thought getting a storage unit could be fun or even enjoyable but Don proved me wrong!

Joey was helpful checking in. The loading bay straight to elevators makes it very easy to have units that arenﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t on the first floor. Place is clean.

If you can get a normal storage locker and not one of the weird ones along the exterior walls of the building you're good. The first locker I was set to rent was basically a leftover room from the building's first life and only had a flimsy wooden door to secure it with zero ventilation. That locker smelled of mildew, so I asked to be moved to a traditional locker on the same floor. The staff is exceptional, was very helpful, and made the switch to a new locker easy. All said, the place is fine for storing junk you aren't using.

The front desk person was extremely helpful, there were dollys available for use, and the loading ramp made sense. Overall great experience.

Great location with bus line right outside as well as a Divvy bike station a block away (all important to those who don't have cars). Management was very helpful. My only complaint is that all the elevators have heavy "clam shell" type doors which may be a problem for someone with a bad back or other physical limitations.

Friendly staff, clean facility. There were a few issues with checkin on the admin side but nothing major. Only main problem I encountered was that there seems to only be one cart for the entire 7 story facility, so if you donﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t have your own you may need to wait for it to be freed up. As I suspect is standard, insurance/coverage gets tacked on to the monthly rent (and they donﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t prorate this, so if you move in at the end of the month you still pay a full months insurance)

We had a good experience at Storage Mart and are happy customers from this experience.

I picked this storage facility because of climate control, availability of units I needed, location, lots of parking, excellent customer service, and pricing. It doesnﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t have the easiest elevators to use but the loading area makes up for that. The old wood floor in my two units were unfortunately filthy. One thing that would be helpful is to have a few of those hard plastic two tiered carts because the metal flat bed carts are difficult to maneuver in some of the tight turns in the hallways. Still and all, Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢d recommend this storage facility.

Really helpful customer service, answered all our questions. The units looked clean and it was climate controlled. The security seemed really good, you have to enter a code to get anywhere in the building

This facility may not be new, but it's well-kept and VERY clean. I really was impressed by that. And the staff (Michi) is wonderful -- they know the meaning of customer service.

Convenient, reasonably priced but people leave the doors up on the freight elevators so it's very inefficient if multiple people are moving stuff in and out.

Michi and RD were SO helpful in helping me signup for a unit and showing me around. They took at least 40 minutesto walkme through everything and make sure I was getting the best unit possible at the lowest price. Thank you!!!

The manager was really nice and she stayed longer to help with my move in. She was very understanding of me running late and I greatly appreciated her. The facility is also clean and reasonably priced.

Had to take stairs to get to the elevators. Place is a little old/dirty but was able to fit everything in. Easy to unload and plenty of carts.

When StorageMart called me to confirm my reservation that I had made through Sparefoot, they neglected to tell me that I needed to come in a pay now to lock in my price and available storage container. They had mentioned that I could "come in any time between that day and the day that I had scheduled to start my reservation." I happened to go in sometime between those two dates and my name wasn't on the list anywhere and was told by a different person that my storage locker hadn't been guaranteed to me as I did not go in and pay for it when I had reserved it. Whoever originally called me didn't give me the information that I needed, so I ended up losing my reservation and the free one month for AAA members that was available via sparefoot. It left me with a bad first impression and I ended up having to pay $10 per month more because my storage option was no longer available and I didn't get the AAA discount. If the employee who originally contacted me had been clearer that I could potentially lose my reservation, I would have come in sooner. The employees on site should be trained better for Sparefoot reservation information to prevent customer dissatisfaction.

Check in was easy, the staff were friendly and the facility is clean and accessible. I would definitely recommend it!

Took care of all fees , questions and set up over the phone. Took less than 15 min when I walked in I just had to sign my paperwork and I was taken to my unit. Great fast service.

Overall exactly I'd expect from a storage facility. Well kept and maintained with a nice loading dock and freight elevator. Yard is secured with a nice automatic gate. Pricing was slightly lower than competitors

Just moved in a month ago. Love it.

I rented a 5'10' storage for my funiture. Facilities are clean and staff helpful. The only thing I can critique is that the elevator situation is a bit old fashoned and not very swift. Overall though i am happy w my choice

This storage facility is huge! I had no problems moving in my items, and appreciated the customer service very much. Also the location and unit pricing trumped the other storage companies I researched in the city of Chicago. would highly recommend!

Aside from the fact that I haven't actually seen the unit, my husband has and says the place is clean and good location. We have had our entire house pretty much stored there for about 4 months since moving out of state and the movers said it was easy to move into and an entire 1 bedroom apartment fit into a 10x10 which is great. (Think tetris style storage). I would recommend this facility to a friend for sure. As long as everything is as smooth during the move out as was the move in!

StorageMart is very cheap (it cost me about $56 for a month there) and they were clear with the cost from the get-go. No hidden fees/taxes, I paid online and nothing was due upon move-in. Employee was nice and checked me in pretty quickly. The only thing is that only one of the two elevators was working and if there are other people moving stuff in and out, you often wait a long time for the elevators and sometimes have to take the stairs to go up and see what's up. That made my move-in a bit slower than I wanted to but overall my experience was pretty positive.

I had a very pleasant experience at Storage Mart. Prior to even arriving I received a phone call from the manager to review the process of renting a storage space and additionally called me back to let me know what I would do if I moved in after the normal business hours.

I think pretty nice for rent storage .Should have more equipment and evaluators. others thing is good.

Every thing went great other than elevator availability was a bit of a issue.

I reserved and paid for a storage locker through a phone conversation with the clear understanding that a free rental truck would be available the next day at 10:00 am. Several hours later I received a phone call from a different employee that the free truck was reserved for the entire day. The customer service representative was unhelpful, but after talking to management offered to refer us to a truck rental facility where we would pay the charges. We asked for a refund. Management then called and offered a $40 credit towards a moving truck, and directed us to a uhaul branch that was closed on Sundays. We reserved a truck from a different facility. If we can find a different storage facility in the next 12 hours we are going elsewhere.

I injured my hand very badly due being inside the elevator and trying to close the elevator door using the only strap available to close the door which was located on the outside of the door. When I pulled the strap my hand was crushed between the two doors. I filed an accident report while my hand was bleeding and swelling in front of the person behind the desk and he could not have been any less interested in how injured I was.

Overall a great experience. I had an issue with the after hours access i requested on my move in day but fortunately another customer helped me and I was able to complete my move in.

This was my first time renting a storage unit so I was a bit anxious. However, the excellent customer service I received from Chad Miller alleviated any concerns I had. From the moment I walked in, I was given a thorough overview of the facility and how things worked. After the tour and overview of security, I felt very comfortable with the process. Also, I was given exactly what I needed for a price that was perfect for my budget. By the time I had finished signing the paperwork, I felt like I was leaving my things with friends not just "some place". Overall, a very positive experience. :)

This is a nice, clean facility with very friendly employees. Their specials seem to go by calendar month, which can awfully quickly come down to nothing, depending on when you move in. In my case it was still a good value, suited my needs for short term storage, and was overall a much nicer experience than i had anticipated. Move-in is very easy via a loading dock and available carts. Store your stuff there!

StorageMart is convenient and the staff was helpful for the most part. However, their "online special" was misleading. It stated that the first two months were 99% off, yet this applied to the first two calendar months, NOT the first two full months. I rented my unit the last week of August and even though there were only a few days left in that month, they included THAT as my first month at 99% off. Therefore I really only got one month for 99% off.

The employees were very knowledgeable of every aspect of the facility AND even helped me move some of my stuff! As unpleasant as moving can be, the whole experience went smoothly and efficiently.

The facility made moving stuff in and out simple and fast. The staff was very friendly and helpful explaining the processes, charges, access etc. The only downside is the lift can be locked down easily by movers, which can lead to a wait on occassion.

This facility and its staff, especially the manager Chad truly define topnotch in every aspect of storage: clean, safe, accessible, and patient (the latter can be necessary when you're involved in the stress of transition). I am so grateful to this group and this site!

The property is ideally located just a few minutes from the heart of downtown Chicago. I am able to get to the facilities in about 10 minutes (depending on traffic) from my Lakeshore Drive apartment. The representative was extremely helpful and polite, and put together. He took care of my reservation and paperwork in about 10 minutes, and was very thorough and clear about all the directions. He gave us a good walk-through of the facilities, which are quite nice. The only criticism I would have is that the facilities could use some signs to let you know which direction to go. Navigating around the huge property is a little difficult, although I found my way quite easily one I made about three trips. All in all, I've been extremely happy with Storage Mart as my choice!

I could not have been more pleased. The sales manager reached out to me proactively by phone after I made my reservation. Paper work was quick and smooth. By luck or by consideration for my "senior" status I received a locker right next to the elevator. They made it easy for me to avoid the "required" insurance charge by explaining how I could bring in a copy of the declarations page from my homeowner's insurance; in addition covered the high points of the lease with me, including potential unpleasant surprise points. My only complaint is the $20 "administrative fee," which I figure is just away to offset the heavily discounted rate. I'd rather businesses didn't play games like that.
