Public Storage - Hanover Park - 2620 W Lake Street

It's our first time using a storage facility; the staffers are so helpful, especially Sandra, who was there. She showed us how the code works, opened and inspected the storage. Very confident and thankful to have chosen this place.

Ashley (at this location) is an awesome manager! She is super friendly and helpful. Also, the facility is well maintained, reasonably priced and provides a good range of operation hours.

Quick and easy to get started! The facility is in an area that seems not so great, but the security of the building is reassuring that nothing will be stolen.

Debbie - is a very helpful staff member at this location. She is very knowledge and attentive to our needs. The Public Storage location is very clean.

After 6 months they raised my fee between 20-25% (with no notice - which overdrafted my account; needless to say I'm no longer enrolled in auto pay) and when I called, the man who answered told me it was because their property taxes went up. Over 20%?! Who do you think you're fooling?! After seeing my review on Google, Debbie, the property manager, called me personally to address my concerns, and explained to me the increase in price was not due to property taxes (she said it was a new employee who had given me this misinformation), but increase in cost of business (which I totally understand, and had this been a reasonable increase I never would have even mentioned it despite the lack of notice), and that the price increases get mandated by the corporate office (when I had the original issue I called the 800 number on my bill and could not get hold of a human no matter what menu choice I made or by pressing 0). She also told me they usually give 60 days notice before a price increase, which did not happen in my case, but I'm hoping that this was just a fluke. Debbie was very nice and seemed to genuinely want to rectify the situation if she could. I am still unhappy with the percentage of increase and find it ridiculous (which Debbie told me as long as she had been there she had never seen one that high) and the lack of notification, but I do appreciate her phone call and the effort she made (she even talked to corporate to see if there was anything they could do for me - unfortunately the answer was no) to try and address my concerns, since when this all happened I felt lied to and blown off. As far as the physical facility it is always very clean and well-lit. However it is hard to get to...if you're coming east on Lake Street you'll have to make a u-turn and come back around.

This location is very clean. I reserved my space online at a discounted rate. Shortly thereafter I received a phone call to schedule an appointment see the space and fill out the required paperwork. Debbie was very knowledgeable, she answered all my questions and made registration very painless and fast. Thank you. The only downside side is the flat bed carts require a key from the office so you can only access them during staffed office hours.

Really good assistance with Debbie. Really polite and generous women. Help me with questions i had. Really polite employees. Love of how it is really secure with everyone personal stuff. I would really recommended for anyone that needs to move out and don't have anywhere to leave there personal stuff.

Perfect place to store stuff

Debbie was absolutely amazing! We walked in and every question we had was answered without a single hesitation. Her customer service is behind exceptional. Love walking in to pay and she's there :)

I checked on line for rates at about 5 storage facilities in the area. Public Storage was the cheapest. I stopped in to check it out and reserved a unit on the spot. Micki was very helpful and made the reservation process quick and painless. She made a follow-up call a few days later to ask me how it was working out. I like that the entire facility is climate controlled and easy to get in and out of.
