Public Storage - East Hazel Crest - 17208 Halsted Street

The roadway about 20 ft from the storage office is very raggedy with 3 deep potholes.

Reserving the storage was rather easy I started online but when I got to the storage facility. Mike was very helpful and they actually had a sale on move in a one dollar to start the storage. That was great and I’m close to the gate when you come to the storage.

Was able to do all over the internet/phone. Perfect. Jon

Totally isolated. Only 1 way in/out. Indoor units far too dark. Flashlight necessary. Isolation and darkness make this a scary place. I feel so unsafe. Won't go alone.

Better security is needed. Insurance coverage should be an option with signature on file as a acceptance or denial.

I walked in and Nina was very polite had explained everything perfectly.I highly recommend this location to anyone who needs extra storage.

A SMOOTH 'MOVE IN', and a VERY HELPFUL STAFF upon MY INITIAL ARRIVAL, but the KEY PAD to GAIN ACCESS to the STORAGE UNIT is NOT PLACED PROPERLY for a PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED DRIVER who CAN'T EXIT and ENTER a VEHICLE in a TIMELY MANNER or IN CLIMATE WEATHER! Also, the LATCH on the DOOR to MY BIN is DIFFICULT to CLOSE and SECURE, and I'm UNCOMFORTABLE with THIS ISSUE!

She was fast, nice and very helpful. Helped me upgrade my storage because I picked something to small. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a storage unit.

When i arrived to place my things in storage, there's ANOTHER lock on the storage and I've been waiting well over ten minutes with my own lock to put on there & they're unprofessional as ever!!!!

I would have marked it as five stars...I absolutely loved Yolanda!!! She was extremely professional and pointed me in the right direction! The only thing that I found upsetting is that the insurance is required. So the internet pricing seems very deceptive because of the "hidden fees" like the insurance fee and the one time administrative fee.

First of all, the rooms are smaller than the advertised size. But, I know this is an issue with many storage facilities. $20 for a lock...and then i couldn't like, leave and go get a lock myself. Probably the same lock for cheaper. But, finally the one that topped it all, was that the storage facility didn't have any dollies. I understand that people keep stealing them, but you're a storage facility, you need to have dollies. And maybe put those security things on them so the moment they go out of the gates, it goes off. Trying to carry heavy boxes from the van to the storage was a bit much. Unfortunately, I couldn't go and find something else because, I was about to move in a couple of days.
