The lock was easy to get off but very hard to slide steel piece to open. Old and rusted. I had to take the lock and hammer it to make it slide. I cut my finger in the process.

These units are very old and have no security whatsoever. Anyone with a screwdriver could get into your unit in minutes. There is actually a hole in the ceiling of my unit, that anyone could crawl through from next door. Not sure there are surveillance cameras, but the chintzy locks are all that stands between a thief and your goods. I would never put anything of value in one of these storage units.
