CubeSmart Self Storage - Milford - 458 Fortune Boulevard

We were looking for a hassle free, safe, affordable storage unit and cube smart came through. After having a lot of issues with other storage places in the same area it was refreshingly easy to book, check in, and move in

The unit was very clean and easy to find. Joe was very helpful and explained the move in instructions clearly. I was able to move in on the same day the paperwork was completed.

Reserving online and completing all the paperwork online to be ready to just move stuff in was very easy. Customer service was very friendly and helpful.

Went to unit and found wire lock on it but wasn't told to remove this to find padlock inside, tried calling and no one picked up phone. Removed wire lock and found the padlock and moved some items in and locked it up.

We had a problem getting the unit open.

We were able to change our reservation without issue and move-in same day. Manager was very helpful, polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. All codes to enter gates/doors given. Easy process to get in quickly.

I like the facility but would like to see a few changes. The inside unit hallways are on the darker side. Would like more lighting - or electrical outlets so I could use my own lamp. Broken glass on floor (looks like it came from picture frames or something) in at least 3 places I saw. A trash barrel would be nice. There's no place to throw anything away (not for unwanted items, but for wrappers, broken glass, ect). I feel more security cameras are needed. There are a couple outside, but none I could see in the hallways. Also, some sort of 'chime' or 'bell' on doors leading in & out of interior units. I'd feel safer if I had a 'heads up' that someone was entering the area I'm in.

The unit was about a foot smaller then advertised or expected but they gave me a great rate on a larger one right up front. Very helpfull front office

My only complaint would be the surprise insurance fee, this should be disclosed before allowing customers to reserve a unit.

I just moved in so i am not sure about the security yet but everything else has been smooth...the office people are very helpful!
