We were in need of a storage unit for our trailer in June. After looking around we decided on mini u due to the convenience of how close it was even if it wasn't the cheapest option. Upon moving in the staff were initially very nice and helpful. After 3 months of paying the price listed on this site we received notice mini u was increasing our monthly rate by almost $30 beginning next month. When I called to express my disappointment with them raising our rate after just 3 months I was told by the women who answered that this is how they operate and basically oh well deal with it. We are currently looking for other available options and would recommend to stay away. I could understand a rate increase if we had been there a year but 3 months is ridiculous.

My wife and I rented a unit here to store our trailer. While not the cheapest we were happy with how close it was to our house. After 3 months we received a letter stating our rent was being increased by $30 starting the following month. When I called to complain I was told this was normal. Look elsewhere.

The representatives at the store were extra helpful. I did not have to wait to see my unit. As the admin was filling out my paperwork for the unit, the gentleman was getting me set up for the truck. They made my experience EFFORTLESS! I was offered water, as it was HOT out there. When I completed my move, the gentleman parked the truck for me and the hold on my account was released within 24 hours. I would definitely refer them to anyone needing a storage unit.

Just wanted to say a big "Thank You" to the management team for being kind, helpful, and concerned. During our time here at this storage unit, they took care of our unit when the unit next door had an issue that would have impacted ours. They took care of it right away. They were also very kind when I had something that I could not take care of myself and offered to handle it themselves. Their kindness was a true blessing and really made my day. They reinforced the fact that there are still some very kind folks out there who are willing to help without anything in return. Yes this is a great facility to work with and rent from.

I rented a space for a month. The couple that run the place are unfriendly and robotic - until itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s time to take your money! I had rented on the 15th, and renewal fell on a Saturday. He did call me a number of times that day, but I didnﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t get it in time. They locked me out on a day I had paid for. Itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s all about money. Extremely impersonal.

I was curious why this storage facility had so many good reviews when I first went online to make a reservation. This facility is so conveniently located, and the staff (Jessie specially) is so nice, helpful, and flexible. I wasnﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t sure what size storage I was going to need, I had reserved a large unit first and told them I may need an additional unit. They told me not to worry and to wait until the movers were done unloading most to figure out how big of a unit I needed to add on. They made the process so stress free and quick. Their rates are very good and they also offer great promos. Highly recommend this location!

The facility is brightly lit for extra security. Safety is a priority for me since I am visiting the facility during evening hours.

I wasn't sure until the last minute whether or not I was going to need a storage bin because it depended on how an estate sale went the weekend before. It turned out that I did need it, but couldn't be there when my stuff moved in because I had to be at closing at the same time of the move. The staff worked with me and let me decide at the last minute and then leave a key for the movers. Everything went very smoothly on top of which I had a great AAA rate which included my lock and key and the first month was free. A very smooth and easy experience.

Friendly service, clean. A little expensive in my opinion - $85 per month for a small 5' x 10' unit.

I can not remember the name of the woman that helped me but she did a fantastic job of helping me to pick a unit. She did a clear and confused job of going over the paper work for renting the unit and renting the moving truck. The moving truck is free as long as you are under 50 miles and I was provided a lock as well for my unit. I think I have the best price and customer service provided to me more so than other storage facilities I spoken with prior from the competition.

Mini U Storage called to confirm our reservation. When we arrived, the owner offered to show us the unit first before completing the paperwork. She looked for the closet available unit to the door for us. Processing the paperwork was fast and easy. The only thing is the price online was $59.00/month and wen I completed the paperwork it was $65.00/month. Other than that, very pleased with the service.

Within 10 minutes of my reservation I received a call from a Mini U storage associate to confirm my storage reservation and she also gave me an explanation on the truck rental and fees. On the day of my move, the staff at Mini U was extremely friendly, paperwork was a bit lengthy, but very thorough explanation was given for every page and there was no wait to get the truck, storage, or packing materials. The only disappointing part of the whole experience was that there were no blankets or pulleys in the truck and the associate at Mini U didn't tell us that there is no equipment in the truck to help us move. We didn't ask for them, as they usually come with the truck, so it was a bit sad to see nothing in the truck when we arrive to pick up furniture. Other than that the experience was very smooth, prices were reasonable, and the staff has been super helpful.

Actually everything went really well except for the fact that when I tried to leave, the sensor to let us out of the facility wasn't working. We tried for 30 minutes to get out and ended up having to scale the fence and enter the password from the entrance side. There is no question in this survey to reflect if their equipment and utilities are functioning properly, so that question should probably be added.

Price, the area and cleanness are very important. The location and price and approximately 4 miles away is what helped me to finally make my decision.

Office was clean and easy to find. Site manager was quick to take me out to see the unit itself so that I could confirm the size and know the location. The floor was a bit dirty and she promised it would be swept out before I returned. We went back to the office and completed all the necessary paperwork for both the unit rental as well as the *free* (discounted) moving truck for Move-In. I would say the entire process took approximately 30-40 minutes, but that includes some waiting for the office to finish with the person in front of me AND going out to visit the unit itself. Just the paperwork was about 15 minutes. They look to take their cleanliness seriously, as there wasn't a lose paper or item to be found on the property! The gate code was set up and active before I left, and with an access window of 6a to 9p, I can't complain. Location itself was also very easy to get to, just off Snowden River Parkway a few lights down from MD-32 and Broken Land Pkwy.
