Stop 'N Lock I

Moved in and forgot to bring / buy a lock. I called the next morning and they were nice enough to lock up the storage with a padlock I bought from them.

I reserved online and the office called me next day to talk about what I needed and when. I went in next day and was able to secure my unit. The office staff was so nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

This is my first experience with Stop N Lock and I am very pleased. I never used a storage place before and had many questions which were completely answered on phone. The person I spoke with was friendly, knowledgeable, and worked with me to set up all paperwork and payment by phone so my daughter could move in without me being there. The storage unit was clean and ready the very next day. The AAA bonus was a lovely surprise! Wonderful customer service and I will definitely recommend this facility to all friends and family. Great customer service and the entire process took 10 min. The first things they did was show us the locker and make us comfortable with the size then the details and leasing was fast and simple. Simple monthly rate, fixed time table and no questions or hurdles to jump through!

I am a student who needed storage for the summer and the staff at Stop N Lock was extremely helpful with showing my friend and I where our units were and helping us transport our stuff across the street. Unit seems secure but easily accessible when necessary.

This unit was a little pricey but otherwise fine. Not temp controlled and the door sticks a bit but generally in good condition. The customer service was helpful when I wanted to change my move-in date. When I initially showed up there was a sign on the door that said "Management will be back at 1" (it was 12:30) but when I called the facility the employee was actually there and helped me immediately.

I am a student at Umich and Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢m not rich. I wanted a place to store all of my things while I travel around the country for a few months during break without breaking my bank account. This is a total steal! Itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s like a second phone bill! And every is safely stored away with a lock on it. The guy was really a great help too! He answered to me even though my dad was there because Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢m the adult customer in the situation. Of course my dad had questions too. And everything was quick ! I didnﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t want to be there all day and we were there for, maybe, 15 minutes.

The move in process was very easy! There were also two pallets in my unit, which was very helpful in keeping furniture off the ground in case of flooding. I opted for automatic payments every month, allowing me to not have to worry about calling on time every month!

I felt very welcome from the moment I walked in the door. The lady at the desk was very kind and helped to make sure I knew everything I would need to know. Since I moved in before the end of the month I had to pay a little more, but she said she would look at what she could refund me since I was leaving before the end of the next month. This was a great option that is close to my apartment in Ypsilanti, it's perfectly situated between A2 and Ypsi too. I had just gotten everything in the storage unit and my lock wouldn't close right, so the very nice customer service woman came down to fix it for me. I was in a dire situation in need of cheap storage only for a month & managed to get a unit for $17. Such a great deal.

One of the best prices in town I could find. But pretty basic storage facility with very little to offer besides the space. For someone just storing basic items however, it was exactly what I needed.

Renting a storage unit for the first time. The staff is super friendly and onsite. Entry hours are convenient. Outdoor 5x10 space seems sufficient for us as we transition from apartment to apartment. Happy with the experience so far.

Customer service was excellent. I was uncertain of the space I would need for my belongings and they were flexible enough to accommodate me switching units. You guys are awesome! My only issue I have with Stop N' Lock are the access hours. I wish they could remain accessible until at least Midnight!

This is the lowest price in Ann Arbor

Stop'n'lock has great prices and great customer service, almost good enough to make up for the unit itself. Floor was wet, which concerned me. There were cobwebs and bugs all over the walls. 2 pallets were provided to keep belongings off the floor. Also, I expected the door to be almost as wide as the unit, however it was only about 2.5 - 3 feet wide for a 5 ft wide x 10 ft deep unit. They don't offer insurance. Rent is prorated for the first month depending on when you move in.

I have never rented a storage unit before, but this experience has been very positive! If I ever need a storage unit in this area again, I will come here. The staff are friendly and make sure to show you exactly what you should expect before the starting date of your lease. The gate access system is great, and I appreciate the double gate after hours. My unit was discounted (not sure why), so the price was really great.

All in all, was an excellent experience. Minimum one month rental makes it very convenient. Low prices with clean safe units.

The unit was priced well and easy to access. The grounds are secure. There were a couple birds and bees nest, but they were old and uninhabited. The staff was friendly. However, I got there when they were supposed to be open and they were closed. I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to show up and unlock the office. Overall, I had a positive experience.

Stop n lock customer service is excellent. They are very accommodating and kind. The facility is easy to find off the highway. Units are not climate controlled. Construction is rather shabby. There are nails sticking into the units that will snag fabrics and scratch wood. The units were filthy when we moved in- spiders, spiders egg sacks, cobwebs and lots of dust. Our mattresses will have to be thoroughly cleaned when we move out. Price and friendliness are really the redeeming qualities of this place.

I found the staff to be mots helpful and was delighted to find our storage area to be both clean and well outfitted with "flats" to raise our belongings off the floor. I would gladly recommend Store n Lock to anyone.

This place has to be one of the best priced places in town.Whether you are looking for temporary or long term storage, I would highly recommend this place. One thing to note is that the 5x10 storage unit is enough to fit things for one person from a studio apartment or a 1 bedroom.

Ron was not only extremely helpful but he was kind as he helped me choose which of their storage options would best suit my needs. I came back the next day saying I had changed my mind, because I am so indecisive, and they were beyond accommodating. Easy fix. No problem. No questions asked. They make you feel safe leaving your belongings in their hands!

This facility is better priced than any other in Ann Arbor, but they are also very clean and in a great location so you feel completely comfortable leaving your belongings there. The staff lives on site, and they have an additional security gate that comes down when they close so no one gets in or out.

The staff there is small but very friendly. They are more then happy to help out. Facility is a little run down but overall does the job and keeps you stuff safe. At night they lock up the gate so no one can go in or out with out the maintenance guy knowing.

I was here since 2006. I came back to empty it. It was dry and merely dusty. The staff here go out of their way to help and guide me to local resources. Kathy was a consummate professional.

Fast service, very nice stuff

Solid seeming facility and site, the security gate looks haphazard but they do lock the front fence at night. Very minimal structure, door was slightly rusted and hard to slide the lock open so could lift it up. Ceiling was quite high though. One of better monthly rates in town.

I was pleased with my office en encounter and help. I was a bit surprised that there was a wet spot on the floor when I moved in. Apparently a washing machine leaked when it was moved out. I've had difficulty using my lock, but have found the trick is to leave it partially in and not try to remove it completely. I appreciate the light overhead.

Just one tiny con, I don't like the way I was treated by one of the staffs over there. Few eye contacts. I tried to start a friendly conversation but ignored. But its fine. I just need the storage. BTW, I met another staff, a guy. He is very nice, smile a lot, and is very responsive when he saw a customer is in need. I hope he is one who serve you. :)

Mechanisms for storage access is poor and very difficult to open and lock. Card access would be a lot more helpful than the extremely long code access method currently used.. Also is it necessary to require code access on both exit and entrance?

Thought I was going to have to pay for an entire month even though I only needed the unit for 9 days, but I was able to get it prorated and only paid 21 dollars! Super helpful manager who cut off my lock for me because it stopped working. Definitely recommend this place!

I just needed a place to keep my stuff between leases and I got more space than I needed. All said and done it cost me 30$. Way less than most other options which had only very large expensive lockers.

Love this place - I went there on a recommendation of a friend - he described it as the best rates and best staff. Loved the first manager Diana - the new manager Kathy is amazing. Kathy goes above and beyond. All my questions are answered - any concerns with the units are addressed right away. If you call you get excellent information over the phone. Kathy does an excellent job of making sure you get fast, efficient and professional service. She has really made my moves much easier because of all the information and knowledge she has of the storage facility and the local area. If you want a pleasant and efficient experience definitely go to this location and talk to Kathy. This is one of the best storage places with outstanding customer service.

I found the customer service wanting. I booked my move in for a date that the facility office was not open, but was not notified that this was going to be a problem. So, I showed up, with a rented truck full of my things only to be told by a maintenance person that there was no way--even on a temporary basis--to move things along; I had to return the next day. I was also told, in no uncertain terms, that this was not their problem and entirely my fault. So, I had to rent the truck for another day and come back the next day which was incredibly inconvenient--as it was a working day--for me and my friend. When I arrived at the office the next day the office staff spent most of her time telling me all the things they weren't liable for and all my responsibilities.Of course I need to know these things, but the approach was all wrong--incredibly unwelcoming. As well, the storage unit was in somewhat poor condition, the door in particular--which rolled up incorrectly, thus depriving me of useful space I was paying for. Given my experience and the approach the people who own this facility take toward customer service, I would not recommend this location to another person. For my part, the only reason I came back at all was due to lack of time and the relatively low price. Places like Public Storage may be more expensive, but the facilities and service are of significantly higher quality.

Very simple and smooth process to move in. The lock on my storage unit is very rusty and very difficult to lock and unlock so that has been the only difficulty I experienced.

This facility seems secure and was clean when I moved in. The staff was friendly and this location offers very small sized storage units, which was exactly what I was looking for. The only negative aspect I saw were the hours of operation (regular business hours), since this makes it impossible to visit my unit during the week days.
