The online service kicked me out 5 times. I finally called and asked when will there be someone at the location and they said that afternoon. I went and the rep was there. She was very helpful with filling out the application. I would only recommend working with a live person instead of the automated system.

Signed up on Sparefoot at $18 per month for a 5x5. First month free. Moved in. Paid two months at $18. Third month they increased my rate by 90% to $32 and added another $15 in liability insurance on my next bill. $47 now. The online site doesn't allow to change the amounts paid so their autopayment attempted to steal $52 off my credit card on file on April 1. TWICE. I blocked it. On April 7th they sent a late notice and added another $20. $67 now. I emailed the office. No response. Called. Office was closed during business hours. Visited the building. I'm locked out. Office is closed at 10AM. April Cruz emails me from North Bergen NJ office. Sends some smart ass threat email to pay my bill or else they liquidate my property. They cut off my lock and replaced it with their overlock. My access is locked out. Unit is locked. I sued them in Mount Vernon City Court. SC-000627-25/MV for full value of my property and filed a complaint with NY Attorney General Consumer office for fraud and theft of property under NY Lien Law S182. Their current advertised rate for the same 5x5 unit is $9 per month. Half my original rate. They're criminals. Move out and do not rent from them.
