Prime Storage - Port Jefferson Station

I've never used a storage facility before. I needed space for my twins that attend 2 different college there. Making arrangements were simple and the facility is clean. I highly recommend them.

This place did not hesitate to make sure i was comfortable with my unit. When I realized my unit was much smaller than what i needed Chad was able to accommodate us with a bigger unit and help us; same day! Great service thank you!!

Best place around !!! Very clean and neat !!! Parking is great. The rental agents are wonderful. All I can say is thank you. !!!

This facility is always clean and the staff that work there have always been friendly. The issue however lies with incessant price increases in regards to the unit itself or the insurance for the unit. I have been there roughly three years and have received 4 price increases in that amount of time. The other issue is the hand carts are not available after a certain time(I believe they are locked away so someone doesn't steal them).....I understand but its still annoying. Also, although I have a code to get into my unit, I don't have access to the unit I pay for 24/7. This has resulted in me showing up at my unit 3-4am to grab items I need for my workday and I cant get them as the facility is closed. Overall I wouldn't recommend this facility because of the pricing.....which even If I pay a little more I wouldn't mind If I had access to my unit 24/7 and we had hand carts available 24/7.

Moved in in October and navigation of the system is easy. However the prices are increasing.

The cost started in upper $200s. As soon as they have you in a storage space they start to raise rates. Just got another price increase. Now we are close to $500!!!! Moving out asap!!!!

When this facility opened it was spotless for months. Things have changed since new ownership took over. Elevators and car bay especially need attention. Staff remains attentive and friendly.

the facility is very well run and clean. the property manager is very accomodating. i was renting a 10x20 to house a car. before prime storage took over the facility my monthly rate was $250 per month which is very acceptable. as soon as prime storage bought the property they raised my rent to $296 per month. bit the bullet and stayed. middle of march 2021 i receive an increase notice stating my unit rate is going up to $460 per month. totally insane. let some one else pay that outrageous fee. i rented the same size space less than a mile away 10x20 to store my car. the rent is only $246 per month. unless you want to get jacked in rental fees whenever they decide they want an increase, my advise is shop around. i guess they dont mind loosing business.

Our organization moved from another storage facility because the pricing was better here. Also, the facility is clean and the staff attentive.

The only issue I have is that loyal customer get treated worse then new customer. What I mean customer that are with you for years get increase every six months until we have to find another place. Why not adjust price when someone who been around for years pricing get higher then the market. I was at your centereach. Location for years and had to move to port Jeff to get a fair price again.

I have rented here over 2 years. Never any issues besides rising prices. $200/month for a 10x12 is on the high side. Very clean! And climate controlled. Never any issues with staff or management. Just pay you bill and follow the guidelines and it will be a good experience.

You sold the business and increased prices during peak summer heater.... also during a pandemic.

Gates frequently broken. Staff is not empowered to negotiate rates. Corporate owners indifferent to keeping rates in line with local competitors. Small business owners looking for long term rental space get hosed. If you need long term storage go elsewhere.
