Public Storage - Charleston - 1439 Folly Road

Poorly marked so it’s hard to find how to get to your unit. Also it was not mentioned how to get into your unit once you find it. Luckily another customer was there and helped me out. All the carts are broken and hard to maneuver.

I was thankful for the numerous carts that made the move in go fast. Place is clean.

Anne helped me and she was very accomodating and pleasant to work with. Great experience getting checked in!

I vacation in Charleston/Folly at least twice a year and have several bulky items I've been bringing back and forth. Decided to keep them there. For the value it's worth it.

I received a notice recently that rates were being raised, which usually happens with everything. My dissatisfaction is due to the rate hike being a 32% hike. Too extreme. Cost of living adjustments aren't in line with that kind of a rate hike.

Everything was in order when i arrived, i never had to go into the office! It was easy!

Dani was exceptional. She answered all my questions and even gave me her personal cell number in case any problems developed during my move in. Outside of some items in the climate controlled lobby entrance the place was well kept/clean.

Easy to reserve and quick. Did not have to meet in person and can do everything remotely. I like that you can use the app to unlock the gate and elevator

Easy access! The facility seemed very secure. The elevators were big and easy to access.

The reservation and sign-in processes were very simple! The staff was very helpful and able to work around an ever-changing moving schedule. Adhered to CDC guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and were firm with their regulations.

Great pricing and facility. Customer service was superb and the building is almost "too secured". When entering the climate controlled building you must enter your pass code to enter the building, then again when using the elevator. We had several instances where we weren't able to get into the elevator before our pass code expired. This was rather inconvenient and had to exit the elevator and then re-enter with after punching in our code again. Can't be the rate, security and cleanliness. That is the only reason I didn't leave a 5 star rating.

I was not expecting such great service or such a great value. I am a recent graduate and have had to use storage places a lot when moving between dorms and apartments, this place does it right. Less than half the price of the competition, incredible security, and they remembered my name every time I came in.

Jennifer was very helpful and made the process to lease a storage unit incredibly easy, thank you for recommending the moisture pellets!

The place and move in was great. A few nit picks 1) WAY too many emails sent to me when I rented it. One or two would have been ok. But six or so was too many. 2) If you sell boxes, you ought to include the tape to assemble them gratis.

Well so far so good! We met a super friendly and very helpful lady named Linda that explained everything very efficiently. Property is very tidy and the units are clean. So far so good! Thanks Linda :-)

Tracie was wonderful and got me all squared away for my dreadful upcoming move. I was cranky but she cheered me up!!

We had an easy and seamless time setting up our account prior to moving in our storage items. I would suggest doing this prior to the actual move if you're using a moving company like we did. The storage unit was clean and access was easy. A pleasant experience with both of the property managers, Linda and Tracie. Highly recommended.

Great people and its a nice place

Sales pitch a little intense, but overall, satisfactory experience. Cost of lock and misc. not upfront about - hours not convenient due to "security issues", however, every other storage facility on James Island has later hours and no reports of vandalism.

My experience was fast, friendly and efficient. I believe the employee on site's name was Ashley. She was friendly and attentive, got me squared away quickly, showed me where my unit was located, how to unlock it, etc. I work in customer service and I notice when I'm treated well (and when I'm not). Great job.

Wonderful experience with the associates at the Folly Road Storage units. They were extremely courteous and helpful. The sales department you get initially when you call the main number was not so much however. I talked to two different people and not once was I informed of the discount offered if I reserved a unit online. They were more interested in getting the higher sale it seemed. Had it not been for the fantastic help I got at the actual location, I may not have rented from them.

Ashley was extremely helpful in getting me set up at the Folly Road location, and even accepted a furniture delivery for me. A couple days later Cherry did the same. These ladies rock!
