Extra Space Storage - 3438 - Austin - Highway 290

Getting to the facility is a bit difficult at present due to the adjacent road (Hwy. 290), particularly since most have to navigate the Y in Oak Hill to get there as well, but this is BY FAR the best bargain on storage space that Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢ve seen anywhere near Austin in years!

Love the pricing on the big unit I reserved! It was also easy to unload the truck & access.

Itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s not a place youﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢d want to trust your stuff. Doesnﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t look too safe. They donﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t seem to care what goes on there. Maintenance is shoddy. Paint peeling. My one hood experience came from a young man who didnﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t even work there. He was nice enough to help me unload my Car and refused to take money for helping.

I reserve the unit the day before came in on Sunday lady was very very nice help me get my storage I needed went over and checked it with me make sure it was clean and corresponding wonderfully

They made it easy to get everything situated. Took less than 10 minutes to get all the paperwork done.

We are renting a 10x25 unit. There is nothing extraordinary about the facility; your typical rental unit. The staff helping us was very nice.

Less than half of what places where charging for a place 1/3 the size. 10% off for military, which is good if you're staying longer than 5mo.

I needed a small unit to store some things for my son. After checking several other companies, I chose Life Storage because I got the best deal. When we arrived at the place, the manager was very helpful and took us to the unit, and then came back with a dolly that we used to move the large pieces of furniture. The only thing I wasn't as happy with was the person who took my reservation over the phone. Her English wasn't very good and she booked us for the wrong day to move in, and I had to call back and change it. But the rest of the experience was good.

Moved in yesterday the people in the office made it very easy for me. I didn't have a lock so I bought one there and the pricing seemed good. Like my unit everything was clean and the facility looked nice.

This was an out of state move and the staff at LifeStorage were excellent and accommodating to work with, making it easy for family to liaise on my behalf until I arrived in state. The facility is very clean, and the value per square foot was great compared to other facilities I checked.

Gus is the consummate professional, he took care of the transaction quickly and efficiently.

I'd move my stuff if there were an alternative in the area. Costs too much.

2nd time to rent storage clean place nice people

Great - but no availability!

Prior to the move it was nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone, no messages were returned. Day of move they called me and left a message saying they'd be in and out of their office hours and call cell to confirm a time. Called and called and headed there hoping someone was in office without knowing if they'd be there. Fortunately were there, but paperwork took ages. Help navigating to unit was not great, we saw the man from the office and honked at him to see if he could help us because our door code didn't seem to be working, he drove away. I got him on the cell this time and he said I was at the wrong door. Spare foot also told me no insurance was required at this location ( it was, which added to my monthly fees). My major concerns are that I'm moving very far away and myself and my family will find it impossible to get ahold of anyone there when needed.

We were waited on promptly by knowledgable, courteous young ladies and paperwork went quickly and smoothly. All questions were answered with ease and confidence. She then gave us keys, explained the entry procedures, and led us to the unit; it was in need of light sweeping and she offered to get a broom and take care of it. We moved a very light load into place right then and are so far pleased with our storage experience.

After reserving a space the previous night on sparefoot, they had my paperwork waiting for me when I arrived in the morning. Total time getting setup at the front desk was probably 10 or 15 minutes and the staff was very friendly and courteous. The prices here were also much better than comparable units I was looking at. Very good experience.

The service was prompt and courteous. The facilities are well laid out. I like the easy access and single story layout... No darn elevators to mess with. Good bang for the buck. One suggestion, having a few 4 wheeled flatbed carts on property would be nice for the folks that are renting an internal climate controlled unit. Would make it easier to haul stuff in or out

We showed up and Sunday only to find that the size of the unit we had reserved was way too small. Adrian was very helpful, driving us around on a golf cart, looking at larger options until we found one that worked. She provided us water and made the whole experience a lot better than it could have been on a very hot day. Also was able to check in the U-Haul right there on-site avoiding a trip to another location!

The lady who helped us was rude, and took care of another customer that arrived after us even though I made an "reservation". There was a dry puddle of either dog or human urine in the hall we had to walk down to get to our storage unit. It was overall a poor experience, I wasn't very impressed by the customer service or the facility.

Good, would go there again.Storage facility units were not all ready and had some water damage, however the service person was very good about accommodating our needs.

Don't believe the prices listed on this website for this location. Once you make your reservation Storage king will call you up and inform you that there is an additional REQUIRED fee.

Was given a great rate on a unit which less than a year later they went up on by 100% I don't live anywhere near this location but was given a great rate on the unit because they had low capacity. However, less than a year later without notice my rate has gone up 100%. I know that every year they do rate increases of 1-5% but not 100%. Now I have to deal with the new price every month or I have to come move my stuff from that unit to another to stay in the price range. However, the only reason I went with that location was just the rate. So really if I don't want the rate they are now forcing on me I have to now find another place and pay for the moving costs on it. For a company that prides itself on "customer service" they sure know how to keep their customers around.
