Public Storage - Midvale - 6832 S State Street

Nice and easy to rent. Super clean and secure

DO NOT RENT HERE. I rented two storage units at the 6800 South State Street location in Midvale, UT for my sister. We were told the first month was free and that we’d be charged a pro-rated amount if we moved out early the next month. My sister moved in on April 28, 2025, and out by May 2, 2025—but Public Storage refused to pro-rate and demanded full payment for May. They hid behind fine print in the contract, despite their employee telling us otherwise. This is a bait-and-switch tactic—they say one thing to get you in, then point to the contract when you object. I escalated the issue, and they offered to charge us half the month instead. Still unacceptable. This is deceptive and unethical. They are not BBB accredited. Proceed with extreme caution. If Public Storage wants to resolve this, I’m open to discussion and will gladly update this review if they make it right.

I would recommend this storage

For the most part ever thing was great except getting messages from a live on site employee telling to stop entering at 845 pm when infact I left at that time gate hours are 6am to 9pm not sure of his complaint .. I had just moved in.

Good stuff I would recommend it

Reserving the unit was incredible easy and I was able to do the entire process online. Your gate access code is sent to a text and your unit is ready upon arrival. Fast, easy, clean and they happily took back a lock they provided for a refund when I showed up with my own lock.

Nice, clean facility and friendly staff. It would have been nice to know that the quoted price to move in was before the insurance and lock they have you buy through them. A little pushy about buying moving supplies on-site. Still, I got the storage unit I need at a decent monthly price.

I would highly recommend this storage facility. It is clean, well-maintained, and the staff there are super great. They made the process easy and quick.

I signed up for the storage unit but I have yet to beging loading my belongings into it.

Starting with the online reservation, to moving our stuff in, our experience with this public storage property and staff was great. The female employee that gave us a tour and did our rental paperwork was very personable and professional.
