I was impressed with this facility from the first phone call for information! I spoke directly to Kirsten who answered every question, promptly called back when I left a message, and worked to find the best options and pricing! On the day of move in, we worked with Omar and he was polite, friendly and especially helpful! I am truly happy with my decision, and would recommend them, especially for College Student Storage!

I used them some years ago and I love the place. Didn't have any problems. The cost is just right for me. We have to move and I needed a place to store somethings. The size and price worked out just fine. I learned about this Sparefoot company and found it to be great!

I’m not sure I’d recommend going through Sparefoot to anyone. Sparefoot advertised the first month free. That wasn’t a thing. And the admin fee was $4 higher than Sparefoot said it would be. Sparefoot also said there was a $10 Starbucks card for signing up now. Apparently they haven’t done that for years and don’t know why Sparefoot continues to say they do.

Melissa and Michael are friendly professionals who keep top notch facilities. The units are clean, well kept, and free from rodents and insects. The facility has the extra security of live onsite management.

Clean, fast, convenient location. Staff were nice, and helped me address the issues I did have.

I corrected the size of my spot with the receptionist twice and it was wrong when I got there. It left me no choice but to put my property at rush due to spot not being big enough. I demand a full refund and I am moving my property within the week.

The representative was accommodating and friendly. He made the experience very easy. It was raining outside and he went out of his way to help me and ensure I got into the unit. The lock did not fit and he and the other person working went to the unit and changed it out for me. I will refer friends and family to this location.

This is such a great facility. From the moment I expressed interest, I felt like I was treated well. I was told I had the option to get insurance or send in my paperwork for my own property insurance, which I did, saving me money. They reevaluate the unit fee after six months, so I paid for those months in advance and I'm happy to have my personal property protected for that long without any work from me. I have enough to do with moving the items into the facility. The staff is WONDERFUL. They're very polite, helpful and make sure things run smoothly. The lockers/storage spaces are very clean and there are handtrucks everywhere you'd need them. I'm storing a number of items that may require temperature control and that was recommended to me, which was awesome. I'm very happy with this storage unit and the services I've gotten here.

I had an easy reservation online and the price was amazing. I would have liked a little explanation when I checked in but other than that, it has been fine. Had some questions but new person could not answer-forgot to ask Manager but it is not a deal breaker.

Staff was friendly and helpful, even with Wuhan Virus issues to deal with. Check-in was relatively efficient and entry code was provided. Carts are available for shifting items into unit. Facility itself is okay, but the path to my 2nd story climate controlled unit is a little problemmatic when dealing with larger, cumbersome loads (hence the 4 stars instead of 5).

I am between homes and needed to do work on my car. (Brakes). Where I have my personal stuff would not let me use one of their spaces for working on the car. I called around and quickly found almost no place would allow it. Mini U Storage was close to my temporary location and they DID allow it !!! THANK YOu !!

The rope to pull the door is broken, the holes are difficult to align up and have to jiggle (hit or miss game), and the unit wasn't even swept. It is just plain awful spending 10 to 15 minutes in the heat when it is 95 degrees outside when all you want to do is get home and out of the heat. Why don't you guy drill a bigger holes so we don't have to be so frustrated?

It was my first time using Sparefoot to reserve a storage in Fairfax. I found Mini U-storage reps very efficient and focused on understanding my needs to help me to find the best storage size. I reserved online. The process was painless and efficient when I arrived that same day. I forgot my lock at home but they had great locks for purchase right there so I did not have to run back again. Great pricing! My only “room for improvement comment” would be to add lights to unit. It was fine during the day but I will think twice about going after the sun sets.

A pretty standard storage facility. The prices are competitive. They do not include a lock or any insurance with the rental fee. But the cost of adding each is about what you'd pay at other locations that include them.

The team there worked to find me a spot to store my trailer. Paperwork was processed quickly and the staff on site were helpful. A little concerned that the security gate is not working - however I am assured my the manager who is very responsive - that they are working the issue. Would feel better about leaving my trailer there once the gate is properly functioning - as that is the main reason I chose to store it there - for security.

My move was pretty uneventful, just the way I had hoped. I did my paper work on Thursday and moved on Saturday. Stephanie explained the process to me , oriented me on the way to enter and leave and she gave me a lock as a gift. She was friendly, helpful, kind and informative . When I arrived on Saturday there were no other people there and no traffic. Pretty smooth !

I had very few things & a locker was perfect for me. Stephanie & the guy there were very helpful, professional & friendly. It's not as close as I would like but 10 miles.

My husband and I had a great experience with this storage company. We were moving between a few places and needed temporary storage of all of our household goods. They let us use their moving truck both times and everything went very smoothly.

Whether on the phone on in person the staff was courteous, friendly and very attentive to my needs and requirements. The facilities were clean (inside and out) and there was plenty of moving equipment to utilize. The hall ways, doors and elevators are wide and it was very easy to navigate around corners and through corridors. The location is perfect right off of Fairfax county parkway and route 123. The hours of operations of perfect especially for working professionals with busy and ever changing schedules. Most importantly, the prices for the plethora of units is fantastic! Automatic monthly billing and payment provides the extra benefits.

The facility is under new management since 2013 and there are signs that they still have lots of work to get their units and service up to par. Units sell fast due to low pricing but ultimately, you get what you pay for (don't forget that). My main concern is that not all units are properly cleaned or inspected after people move out. This makes matters worse when units are not cleaned before a customer moves in. In my case I was shown a unit that was not move-in ready, and then had to wait for it to be cleaned. The problem with that is not only the inconvenience of waiting but that it shows poorly on the staff who should be taking care of units immediately before or right after a reservation is made. The last thing you want a customer to see or smell is what's been there for weeks if not months. Management aplogized to me when I experienced something similar and I was then forced to settle for a differen type of unit since the one I reserved was the last of its kind available. They also credited my account for the inconvenience. The other issue is that the indoor units are accesible via hallway entries that are NOT closed in. This means that rain, snow, and cold air make their way right up to the doors. And since these man-sized doors have a good 3/4 gap under them (no weatherstripping), you can imagine how protected your boxes will be. Granted the staff will shovel the snow during the day, but this won't help 24/7. My suggestion to those looking to save money by renting here is to consider whether this facility will meet your needs and expectations based on the information above.

Check-in was a breeze; the facility was clean and every storage unit is on the first floor -- EASY ACCESS! There were push carts available for customers to move their effects into storage units. Great Prices and Great Neighborhood Too! Highly Recommend.

The guy who was working on that Saturday was so very nice and professional. It was a very relaxed experience as far as moving can go. He made the check in experience very simple, fast and friendly. This place was also cheaper than any others we looked at. Very good choice on my part.

I moved in few days ago and I need to admit everything went well till 5 min before closing. 5:55 we drive in front of the office coming back from the storage unit. We were planning to rent one of their truck and we have told the lady before that. Anyways, while driving to park , I clearly saw someone inside the office, then we parked to go inside and everything was turned off and locked 5 MINUTES BEFORE THE TIME THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO BE CLOSE. THEY saw us coming and they voluntarily closed everything. I need to admit that this kind of customer service makes me upset. I really hope that this was a simple mistake from them. Overall everything went good beside this incident. Prices are fair Unit clean Clear explanations from the office as well

Zach's a great guy and knows his job perfectly. He was extremely personable, efficient, and paraphrased each section of the very long contract so I didn't have to sit there reading it for an hour. He made a potentially stressful experience a piece of cake. Very fair contract terms. They also have a moving truck that you can use for free (well, almost), which is a very convenient service I've never encountered before in a storage facility.

We were very pleased with the process from the online beginning, follow up phone call to see if we had questions, great help from the staff signing the contract, and excellent, secure facility.

There was an issue with the quote for the space I reserved. My price quote was different than the one online and if I did not have my paperwork showing the rate and reservation; I was going to be charged the amount online.

On the whole we have had a good experience with this facility. Unfortunately they did mess up our rental truck reservation. If you use the rental truck, make sure to get in writing the time and date you have it reserved for! That's my only complaint.

The only negative part was my worries regarding pests. The ceiling to the storage unit is open to a corrugated aluminum roof with rafters. It seems like it would be easy for an animal to gain access

What can I say? They were open during the snow. Unit is easy to get to, clean, elevator and carts readily available. Very helpful and friendly and professional staff. Can't argue with the price either. Great place!

I will say that I am comparing my experience to no other storage places since this is my first one I personally rented but nevertheless I have been in the customer service industry for over 15 years. You wouldn't think of a storage facility to have great customer service, but this one does. Zach is great, he called my cell phone 10 minutes after a reserved my unit online just to see if I had any questions. I am glad he did because he saved me $10/month by telling me to bring in a copy of my renter's insurance. So the customer service is top notch, what about the rest? The facility presents itself very orderly, neat and clean. Just a well oiled machine. It's not like I have expensive or important stuff to store but regardless I want the feeling that my stuff with be safe and secure. Zach and Mini - U - Storage obviously take their job/business seriously and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fast, great & cheap storage alternative. Great job guys!

The staff a Mini-U of Fairfax were efficient, prepared, and pre-cleaned the facility before arrival. They were also extremely helpful in explaining how to access your unit and provided moving carts to facilitate the heavy loads. If you live in Fairfax the location is great!

Staff is prompt and communicative. Had a minor miscommunication up front about the need for the insurance fee (I didn't need it), but everything was quickly resolved and set up for a quick move-in.

The move-in was super easy -- the woman handling the paperwork was friendly and efficient. While I was there, the on-site manager made calls to Penske truck rental clients to let them know due to an unforeseen problem on Penske's end their trucks wouldn't be available until a certain time rather than let them wast their time driving out. The space was clean and easily accessible.
