It’s a storage unit. Part of my wall is gone in my unit which is kinda tacky and there’s spray paint on the back wall dated 2002 😂. But I’m just glad it has a lightbulb and outlet so I personallly don’t care. But I’d imagine someone out there would. Can’t speak on the customer service portion because I signed up online entirely without having to go inside which is extremely convenient because I was in a rush.

Everything is Ok. I read everything on the website and made the reservation. However after you get there and check the storage unit out and do the paperwork a few things get added mandatorily : must buy insurance at the front office on stuff in the unit & must buy humidity control product from front office every 6 months. Front security gate doesn't work. Been in the unit 5 days hoping for no more surprises .

Would have been 5 stars hadn't I had been MADE to purchase insurance which I didn't need and it increased the payment which is not fair to the customer. Also it states in your pamphlet that it is an option but at check out we are required to purchase something and that's contradictory. I will be calling Headquarters in regards to this matter as well. And if later on you change policy you should go up on your price to later be included in monthly rent.

Everyone that works there is super helpful. The three women behind the counter are extremely knowledgeable. I fear spelling their names wrong so I'll keep it at that. Excellent support! Great communication skills. They were flexible and kept my move low stress. I felt they went above and beyond and I'm very thankful. Walking into their office was the best welcome to Virginia greeting and we needed it after driving for three days with a newborn.

We called and were able to make reservations for the size storage unit we needed. Upon arrival at the facility, everything was keyed into the system and ready for us. The only thing I didn't like is the cost to purchase a lock. It was okay b/c I found the same one at 1/2 the cost as the storage facility across the street. Overall, very satisfied with the customer service and how they wanted to be sure our needs were met.

the times I've been to my storage, the staff always waves and smiles as you drive in, the units are clean, and well looked upon, and the other unit renters understand the policies.. no piggybacking, respectful. so far I am happy with Public Storage..

What they advertise in fees or expenses is not what you pay. when you get there they tell you that you must have insurance. Then they tell you to pick an amount from their list. They charge you for the lock, only they have the locks they use. Over $20 for a cheap lock. And remember they charge for the insurance each month. Don't forget the move in fee.
