While this is a older faculty, itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s very well maintained. Itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s clean, quiet and well-lit. The on-site CS rep was very helpful and informative. He explained explained all the rules and the contract very well. They also offer free bottled water-which is great in the warmer months, and have shelving they can put in your unit, at no additional cost. I highly recommend this location.

The agent on duty at the Chantilly, VA location offered to sweep the unit but I was on a tight schedule and had to decline. I moved my daughter's belongings. Before doing so I rented a 10x10 space. After loading the truck and getting to the storage space I realized a 10x10 wouldn't do it. So very quickly the folks in the office help me get a 10x15. They were very helpful while I was in a state of almost panic. With fifteen minutes to spare before the help I hired arrived they had me in the larger space. Life saver.

The price was good and value for money for the storage space which is accessible by vehicle directly to the door. Our family used this facility in support of our relocation from Fairfax to Charlotte, NC earlier in 2016. We used as many as 3 units during our 6 month transition - all good, e.g., clean, competitively priced, etc. Most significantly, between our relocation company and our family, we accidentally damaged the facility on 2 separate occasions by smashing a fire extinguisher holder and scraping the electronic gate. The staff was extraordinary in working with us and the insurance companies to resolve these issues. Their (staff) professional approach in dealing with us while using the facility from start to finish simplified our move and added a personal touch which was most welcome during a challenging inter-state move.

Big guy, yelled at me and told me in a father voice to "put down my phone or I would not be allowed to have a storage unit. If I wasn't already having a bad day I would have packed all my things back and found another dlfacility but unfortunately he knew I was upset before his outburst and took that advantage to bully me. It was very inappropriate and unprofessional to say the least. Having a tiny women being yelled at in front of other customers to the point of crying is a very bad form.

The units are as advertised, the staff is very helpful and accomodating. I usually think that advertised specials are bogus and never come true. Well, on Saturday I came to rent a storage space and got a free lock, free truck rental ($29 insurance) and free shelves in my unit. The first month rent was advertised on Sparefoot for 1/2 price, but on the sign in the window it said $1 first month, so they gave me the $1 deal. All for a lower price per month than any other place in the area. I saved a few hours and a lot of hassle using the truck instead of my personal vehicle to move my stuff. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

It was happenstance that I found the storage facility via Sparefoot which was another website I found by happenstance. Sparefoot saved me time and money. The online reservation process was quick and easy. The staff (I fail to remember their names) were helpful and friendly. The location was easy to find. These were the carrots for me: The monthly rent for unit size. Free use of their truck. Military veteran discount. 50% off first month's rent. No requirement to purchase insurance (since I have my own) to take advantage of the promotions.

I was a bit disappointed about the insurance. I was not notified/informed before hand that a homeowner's policy was required. Although I faxed a copy within two hours after learning of the requirement, I was still charged the $9.

I signed registration documents on 21st Sept. and got access Code. Post that I went ahead to pickup my household and came back around 3.30 PM i.e. their after business hours. While trying to use given access code I realized it was not working for me. I was in terrible situation as I had to catch my flight next day and was not able to stuff my belongings. After spending an hour with their Phone support and trying 2 access codes I managed to get one. So lesson learnt for me to try any access code once to get it from Customer Service executives .

Very great experience. Took me to the unit I had reserved. I thought I would need more space so they found a unit in the next size that was open to show me. I took that unit and they gave me the online price saving me a few bucks each month. Really happy with the experience!

Would you ever think you'd have a 'relationship' with your storage unit staff, of all places?! Well, that is exactly how you feel when you meet the team at Mini-U. First of all, the entire property is clean and well maintained. The staff (everyone!) was super friendly and welcoming. I never knew that my storage unit would be something that I 'cared about', but this experience was awesome. From giving my kids a ball to play with while doing paperwork, to a ride in the golf cart (made my daughter's day) to super friendly phone calls and in-person visits. The deal I got through Sparefoot was also super! Terrific experience and I feel really good about the location of my valuables and that they will be secure.

The facility is great, however I was not impressed with the offer for the free rental truck. I tried to reserve the truck approximately 2 weeks before I needed it and I was told to call back about 5 days before I needed it. When I called back, the truck was not available. I would prefer not to have the free truck advertised if they will not accept reservations in advance.

Had a wonderful initial contact experience with on-site mgmt. team. Found them courteous and helpful, but later found out incomplete information regarding truck rental had been communicated. Despite multiple phone conversations regarding the reservation of "free" move-in truck, upon arriving to pick up this truck to move my items I was informed by a curt, officious, and rude younger man differing policies than I had been advised by mgmt. Mgmt was off and he was of no help; I had to ask him to contact them by phone, which he begrudgingly attempted without success. This resulted in my completing my move making multiple trips between Middleburg Va and Herndon facility, in a compact station wagon with a broken hatchback - FUN! It was also noted that this employee who was staffed to cover the desk until 3pm Sun 10/26 did in fact close and leave early, as I arrived back at 2:57 onsite and another storage client was parked in lot looking for staff as I pulled up at 2:56. Very dissatisfying experience overall; I wanted to refund my money and go elsewhere, but this would have been counterproductive as it entailed moving articles already placed. But all in all, a very poor and most distressing experience...

So far it's been a pleasure to do business with this facility. The couple who run the facility are very pleasant and helpful. The paperwork was quick and painless and they even allowed me to rent their moving van for $19 with 50 miles included. I couldn't go wrong!
