This location is Self Service Only / No Office Onsite. AAAA Self Storage located at 7240 S Barrens Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019 is close to the intersection of Peters Creek Road and S Barrens Road (near Hollins), behind the Carilion Clinic and across from 1st Team Auto Mall. The facility's 427 units are contained in single story buildings giving our customers quick and easy drive up access to their storage units. We are a gated and fenced facility with keypad entry making it easy to access your unit. Some of our climate control units have a keyed door entry and we are the only facility in town that offers drive up climate control. The facility has wide aisle ways for large trucks that make commercial deliveries and moving trucks, and is fully automated, allowing you to rent a unit on our website or mobile app using your mobile device or computer. Our 7240 S Barrens Rd is equipped with 24 hour surveillance for your added security along with frequent lock checks. RV, Boat, Car, and Truck parking is available at reasonable monthly rates. I was looking for an outside unit, drive up, with climate control. A AAA had what I was looking for. My only issue is there is no staff on site. The process was easy but I did need the lightbulb changed in the unit. It is schedule to be changed 1 week later. This has been an inconvenience as I needed to move some in immediately. By the time we got there it was dark. We had to use our phones to see what we were doing and we asked not to stack our stuff around the lightbulb so maintenance can get a ladder in there and change it.
