Public Storage - Sterling - 45941 Old Ox Road

We took advantage of the Memorial Day sale and got a 10 x 10 climate controlled unit for just $43. Drew helped us check in. He was very polite, efficient, informative and nice. The unit itself was very clean and the AC was functioning well. We also noted that there was a clean restroom in the facility. We are very happy with our rental and the customer service we received.

Good I like the place is very clean, easy to access and exit is earlier then going on.

I was charged 53 dollars when I am supposed to be charged 30 dollars

I chose this facility over 3 years ago because of the affordable rental prices. Little did I know how often they were going to be raising my rent over the years. My rent has increased by $80 every 6 months, and the unit is quickly becoming unaffordable. I wish I had known about these insane rent increases ahead of time, I would have chosen somewhere else. I do not recommend this place, and I will be moving my items out as soon as I can.

I am very pleased with my move in last Sunday. The lady that helped me ( sorry I did not get her name!) was extremely helpful and professional. I would for sure recommend this location!

The process was done online in minutes, was given a gate code , unit number and everything very fast. The unit is clean and facility is easy accessible. No complaints here!

Unit was clean, getting there was easy, staff was nice.

The rate is always fantastic when first moving into a unit (first month $1, etc.), but because they reserve the right to raise their rates at any time, it can get a little tricky. My last rental in 2021 started out costing about $13/month for a large room. By the time I canceled it 3 months later, it was already up to $160 and about to increase again. I'm hoping that won't be the case this time around!

I looked online for a storage space near Dulles Public Storage has more than 1 facility and more than 1 rental option. I did everything online, it was smooth and easy.

It was difficult to find the unit because of the insuficient information provided. First, there are 3 building on this location: building A, building B and building C. I was given only the unit number, but not the information on the floor number or which building it is. Also, there are no arrow signs on each of the floors that would direct the customer to the ara where the unit is. So, it turned out that my storage unit is on the secod floor of the building C. All of aforementioned would be highly helpful. Also, the management never responded my messages left after the office hours. Since I was paying the 2 movers $100.- per hour and came tired by a moving truck from NYC to Sterling, VA, and Public Storage office was closed, at the time, I was not happy to be roaming through the whole complex for 45 minutes to find my storage unit.

The guy that helped to check me in was amazing. I have never had a storage unit so he walked to through the entire process. Great location

Good location and excellent service very clean and secure

Selected this storage unit from among several in the area based on price, climate control, and proximity. Subsequently identified 4 levels of physical security. The manager took the time to show me the facility and answer questions. Recommend selection.

Hard to find where it was at but overall very nice and exactly what I needed

We got our unit for a good price and it is more than enough room for our things to store. Someone even called to follow up since we were unable to move in on our move-in date, which was nice.

The sales person gave me all information, it was fast check in, it was easy to move.

After I made my online reservation, there was no indication that I could lose the space I reserved if I did not complete my registration online immediately. As a result, when I arrived 7 days later to claim my space, I was informed that it was no longer available and that it was incumbent upon me to complete the registration online to secure it. I have reviewed the materials emailed to me and that was not stated. Luckily, I got a good deal on a remaining space. I also would have appreciated more transparent pricing when making the online reservation in terms of clearly calling out the added cost of insurance and the need to buy a cylinder lock. Also, the elevator closest to our storage unit was out of order which resulted in a much longer walk to move in our stuff.

I had a lot of difficulty finding my unit but when I did it was smooth sailing from there.

I just started storing my items at this location and the process was seamless. It was quick to sign up, relatively easy to find my unit once I had a map, and clean. They also provide cylinder locks for your unit which enhance security.

Easy on-line reservation process. Great on-site customer service: they know the promotions and limits, they know their inventory, they are good listeners. This facility is CLEAN, quiet and easy to negotiate.

I found the experience of renting my storage solution very positive after the task of moving and packing. The staff was attentive, helpful and efficient ; the price was very competitive in the busy Dulles Airport area. The “first month for $1” only applies to the rest of the calendar month, not the first 30 days. And the facility I rented from forces you to buy their own lock even though you might have your own.

I am very picky with selecting a storage unit to store my stuff. This place already exceeded met my requirements. I would come back in the future.

The Herndon, VA Public Storag on Old Ox Rd is OUTSTANDING!! The facility is clean, and well managed. The staff is great to work with. Every time I have had an issue the staff has had a "Can-Do" attitude and resolved them before I even finished explaining. I give them 2 thumbs up on the awesome scale.

Elizabeth was great to work with and I have moved some stuff in already without any problems.
