Clean and functional No problems with move in

My movers had an issue getting into the gate however I was not told the location I selected has no personnel on staff to assist! I ended up having to pay the movers extra and 25% of our items didnﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t get moved because of this delay as well. I have asked for a manager but have yet to receive a call back!

Once I got the where and figured out the code everything went smooth. And the agent at the Davis facility was very helpful

When I arrived to rent a unit, the attendant was not there; she was out to lunch or running an error. Since the office was closed I had to wait to get a unit and begin moving in. Another renter needed his code to get into the lot and also had to wait and he had hourly workers just sitting around. Once the attendant showed up, she let the other tenant wait while she completed my application rather than just letting him in. I actually left the office to move my truck to give him access. After getting access, the attendant was very helpful in showing me where my unit was located and in finding carts to use in moving items to the unit. Some work could be done in planning absences or in having coverage at all times during posted hours.

I had no trouble checking in and moving into my unit. It was drive up accessible. The price is comparable to units of the same size in the area, but is still on the expensive side.

From the first phone call to the signing of the lease I was pleased. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff was well received. As a single woman who visits my storage unit alone, I am encouraged by the amount of security that is provided. There is even an intercom in the hallways if you need something from the desk! The facility is well maintained and very clean! I am pleased to be your customer!

I've used storage facilities before and this one looks to be brand new and squeaky clean. There are 2-3 handcarts available at the doors and a rolling door so you don't have to deal with a swinging door for the inside units, which is a huge bonus. I do wish it had a ramp there since you still have to get the cart over to the inch-higher foundation, which can be hard with heavy and precarious handcart load. Cameras are prominent and the interior was well-lit. I came on a weekday and had to wait because they only had one person at the desk. I think they have two over the busier weekend periods. Overall it took about 30 minutes there, 15 doing paperwork. My one complaint is that the free use of a truck is not honored with a 5x5 unit, which isn't mentioned during the online set-up and had been a selling point. Since I have a very small car it is still taking me several trips to take everything there though with a truck or even a van I could have done it in one. Also bring your insurance declarations page with you if your homeowner's insurance will cover the items. I didn't and now cannot cancel the policy before December since I paid ahead 2 months. The free use of the truck would be the biggest bonus for this place, but as I mentioned it is not honored for small units. For that reason I don't consider this as good of a value as I did when I originally set this up online. They did mention it was not an option on the phone, so they were not hiding this fact, it's just a consideration if you are counting on it.
