We were very pleased with the friendly interaction with the support staff and especially with the office manager. All our questions were answered, and we now have a clean unit, and phone app access to the storage area. We made a good decision and can access it any time.

The Public Storage facility in Virginia Beach, VA (1489 General Booth Boulevard) is an outstanding storage facility! Kristen, the manager, is polite, knowledgeable, and professional. The prices are affordable and competitive, too. The storage spaces are clean, maintained, and secure. And the Public Storage website makes it easy to manage your storage space online. I just leased my third storage space at this facility.

The manager was very nice and knowledgeable. The one negative thing is that you have to get out of your vehicle to use the entrance and exit keypads.

First of all, the prices are economic! We were very pleased with the easy process and the unit space itself. Bethany was very efficient and kind. Lovely person. If you ask me, she should be the queen of England. No but for real, the treatment was great. She took care of paperwork and gave detailed info within decent timing. Thanks!

I noticed that the gates to the storage was open and it was about 7:30PM. The office was closed and no one around to ask a question about the gates.There was poor lighting and I also wondered if there is cameras on the property.

I reserved online and then went in to complete everything just as my instructions indicated. I was pleased to see they were open on Sunday to complete the transaction. As we began to sign documents, the rep there handed me an "acceptance" letter for their insurance on the contents of my unit. However, I told her that I wasn't interested and she indicated to me that I had to have coverage on the contents of my unit. I told her I needed to call my husband as we have had several storage units before and was never required to have insurance before. When I told her that my husband said we had not been required to have it in the past, she then told me that I must have misunderstood her and that I wasn't required to have it, that it is just recommended. There was other conversation regarding the insurance, but I ultimately did not purchase it. However, I kind of felt like I was being flim flammed into buying it. It's ok, she was very kind and I am trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. The other issue....when I went to move in, the facility manager, the same lady, put a lock on my unit and I couldn't move in after I had already paid upfront. She indicated that she put a lock on to prevent others from putting their things in my storage and then forgot to take the lock off before she left. My issue is that I paid for days that I couldn't use my unit. Is that fair??
