Public Storage - Seattle - 1515 13th Ave

Renting a storage unit is such a mundane chore, and I didn't expect that doing the requisite paperwork would actually be pleasant. But the staff person, Janelle, clearly has a customer service superpower and turned what could have been drudgery into a fun experience. The staff was also very accommodating to the movers. There's off-street parking which is convenient, and the app makes access very simple.

The facility is clean and in a nice location, however itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s not very well designed inside. There are many pinch points in the hallways where they decided to squeeze extra tiny units in and they make it difficult to move large items in and out. I couldnﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t even get one of the tools I needed to store in at all. As well, one of the two elevators was broken during move in which greatly impacts access to several floors.

The manager, Coquita, was very professional and courteous. She took the time to show me multiple units until we found the one that I thought would work best. Everything was explained thoroughly and she's been very responsive to follow-up calls for assistance. Would highly recommend her facility.

Look. Storage is storage. The place is clean and feels safe. So, why the 5 star rating? That would be for the topnotch service I received from the young woman who helped. I'm not sure of her name at the moment... it could have started with a Q (?), but I remembered it long enough to sing her praises to your corporate office. These days customer service generally sucks, so I didn't have high expectations going in. However, I was treated with quick and personable (yet professional) service at the counter. I was in and out in no time and left in a better mood than when I arrived. And that's saying something. My advice? "GIVE HER A RAISE!". Good help is hard to come by and she's a keeper.

The manager Jeff was helpful and professional. Public Storage needs to update the facilities more. It's outdated and smelly.

Everyone was courteous and thorough. Everything went smooth I used a lock cylinder that I had purchased before from public storage.

We made a reservation online and the facility contacted us to make an appointment for checkin. (They wanted to make sure someone would be available when we arrived.) Upon arrival at the facility, Coquita was professional and efficient when going through paperwork and showing us around the facility. She was knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly.

Lost my key and they cut off my lock - free of charge! So helpful!

Fast, friendly, helpful, and thorough

Setting up the storage rental was super easy. Everyone was super responsive, professional, and informative. Julian was friendly while working through the paperwork and ensured that I knew everything I needed to. Hours are convenient, it's secure, and the staff are great.

I had personal items of mine stored here for about five years and had a great experience. It was very hassle free to get a unit and close it. The only thing I wish is that it was a 24 hour access unit. But I really don't know if that exists. Take note of the hours that you can have access to your unit and plan accordingly.

Great place to put your thing in public storage

Great place for storage! Good location, access hours are reasonable, clean and easy to get in and out (personal access code and key to locker on site if you choose). I've had to move my unit multiple times as I brought more stuff. The guys were super cool about it and are always incredibly helpful, professional and friendly. Julian and Gary helped me out both times and they were wonderful!

Great but really expensive

Overall my experience was good. I made a reservation online and did the pre check-in to make it faster. The only thing was nowhere on the site or in any communication I had before my check-in was I made aware that the type of locks they accepted had changed (from the last time I had rented) and that I would need to purchase a specific type of lock (not available for purchase elsewhere) at the time of check in. It was not a big deal, but was more money then I was expecting to spend at check in. When you reserve online they give you a quote, the lock price should be included.

The office/store staff were always a pleasure to deal with, and you can purchase anything you need for packing right there!

Margaret was super helpful and went out of her way to answer questions and get me all situated. The space was clean and ready for me when I arrived.

Move in was easy, the facilities are clean and secure.

No problems at all. Only thing is the cost of course, but being in downtown Seattle is a hard thing to manage.

The unit manager is great guy who got me the best possible unit for my needs. Every time I go in there I am greeted warmly and feel like a friend.

I have done a total of three transactions with the guys at this location. I have been met with nothing but knowledge, professionalism, and a little fun. My main contact there is Anthony, who has been patient and has a willingness to help...every time I drop in! HE DESERVES A RAISE :-)... Ryan has also been outstanding, though I haven't had as much contact with him. They are both excellent representatives of your company, and the reason that I will keep using it, Jonathan O'Brien

Renting the storage unit went easy and the agent was very knowledgeable of the facility. Got just the right size for my needs. The agent went outside and looked in my truck to estimate the size needed. That impressed me. He made me feel at ease at a tense time in our move.

The location is fantastic. It is secure, and the gated car access is great. Manager was very professional and kind. Facility leaves something to be desired. It's dingy and not well-lit, and could be cleaner. The first time I went to drop off my belongings, I noticed a puddle of yellow liquid in the elevator corner which looked and smelled suspiciously of urine. Smells a bit musty, but I guess that's par for the course for a Seattle building.
