Public Storage - Seattle - 9200 Olson Place SW

Customer service was great. The units do not have lights in them if you get one of the outdoor rule door units, so it makes it difficult to hear their after dark. Additionally, the seal on the wall doors is super crappy, and there are leaks in the gutters that dump water at certain points in the facility. The particular unit I got has one of those leaks so loading things in brings in water, which is frustrating, and the seal at the bottom of the door is crappy so to keep moisture from. getting in I am going to have to replace the seal otherwise mold will be a huge issue.. frustrating but I appreciate the 24hr access which not many places have.

Richard was a great help and made sure I knew how to get into the facility. He also made sure I understood all of the charges. He is extremely Nice.

I rated this a thee-star only because the two spaces I viewed had obvious water damage, and one of them was still a bit damp on the floor. However, I would rate this a 5 in customer service because of how Richard handled the situation. I had accepted the space and paid before it before I saw the water spots on the floor and ceiling. Richard was apologetic and offered several workarounds, such as laying tarp down and over my stuff until he could get someone to repair the roof, and offering a different space. I ultimately decided not to rent storage there, and he fully refunded me less an initial $25 fee. He could easily have been unyielding as I'd already signed an agreement, but he was kind and understanding about it. Thanks, Richard, for being such a great person!

A little pricey. 78$ a month for a 5x5 up the stairs unit, no light in unit.
